About Roxanne M.
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
Good news, I come to you! All of my services take place in your home, which means your pup never has to leave their safe space. I bring the love, you provide the couch. During house sits, your dog runs the show; furniture, bed, all of it is fair game. I’m there to make sure they feel like nothing has changed, just with a new best friend temporarily in charge. I handle medication, special routines, anxious personalities, and everything in between without batting an eye. Your home gets treated like my own tidy, respected, and exactly how you left it. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I know where the nearest 24-hour vets in Austin are and will always prioritize your dog’s safety. The bottom line? Your dog will be so comfortable they might not even miss you. Almost.
Information Roxanne M. would like to know about your pet
Every dog has a story, and I want to know yours before we even meet. The more you tell me upfront, the better I can make sure your pup feels right at home. Here’s what helps me give your dog the best possible care: The basics: feeding schedule, portion sizes, and any strictly off-limits foods. I take this seriously, no sneaky treats without your approval. Health and medications: any conditions, allergies, or medications I should know about. If they need something administered during my visit, just walk me through it, and I’ve got it covered. Their personality: are they a social butterfly or do they need time to warm up? Any triggers I should know about, like loud noises, other dogs, or strangers? The more I know, the better I can set them up for success. Behavior on leash: do they walk like a dream, or do they have selective hearing when a squirrel appears? No judgment either way, I just like to be prepared. Emergency contacts: your vet’s name and number, your preferred emergency vet in Austin, and the best way to reach you if I need to. Their quirks, favorite toy, sleep spot, whether they’re a couch hog or a floor dog. The little details are what make the difference between good care and great care. Come to our meet and greet, ready to tell me everything, I’m all ears!
A typical day
My philosophy is simple every dog is different, so every visit is tailored to what they need, not a one-size-fits-all routine. For the active pups, we’ll explore the neighborhood, hit nearby trails, or find a patch of grass to run around and burn some energy. Austin has no shortage of beautiful spots and I’m always happy to get outside and adventure with a dog who’s ready for it. For the dogs who just want to decompress and honestly those are my people we’re doing cozy hangs, belly rubs on the couch, and slow leisurely strolls around the block at whatever pace they want. Some dogs don’t need a marathon, they just need someone calm and present to keep them company. I’m really good at that. Rain or shine, energetic or lazy, I meet every dog exactly where they are. The goal is always the same for your pup to be happy, comfortable, and completely themselves while you’re away. And yes, there will be photos of all of it

Your Dog’s New Favorite Person
Pet care experience
I didn’t set out to become a dog sitter; it just happened naturally. A friend needed help with their dog, then a neighbor, then a coworker. Ten years later, I’m still doing it, and still loving every minute of it. What I’ve learned from caring for dozens of dogs over the years is that every single one is different. Some need a lot of stimulation and adventure. Some need calm reassurance and a gentle hand. I’ve worked with big dogs and tiny ones, young puppies and senior pups, social butterflies and dogs who take a while to warm up. The ones who take a while to warm up are honestly my favorites. I treat every home I enter and every dog I care for with the same respect and attention I’d want for my own. You’ll always know how your dog is doing. I send photos and updates throughout every visit because I know that’s what matters most when you’re away.
