I’ve been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and a variety of small companion animals. Growing up with pets taught me responsibility, patience, and confidence in providing attentive, compassionate care. I’m currently a Wildlife & Pre-Vet student at Auburn University, where I’m building a strong foundation in animal behavior, health, and welfare. This summer, I’m gaining hands-on experience working with animals in a professional setting, which has strengthened my understanding of behavior, health monitoring, and enrichment. Because of my internship, I’m unavailable Sunday–Wednesday from 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, but I’m available for early morning visits before 7:00 AM, evening visits after 4:30 PM, overnights, and have full availability Thursday through Saturday. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve cared for pets for friends, family, and other clients, providing feeding, walks, playtime, exercise, and plenty of affection while maintaining each pet’s normal routine. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, or a senior needing extra patience, I tailor my care to meet their individual needs. I treat every pet like they’re my own and believe communication is just as important as great care. You can expect regular updates, photos, and the peace of mind that your pet is receiving attentive, compassionate, and dependable care every visit.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I take the time to learn each pet’s needs, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions. I make sure pets are always secure on walks and monitored closely during visits. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully to keep pets in a familiar and stress free environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.

Rowan took care of my dog, Oscar. Oscar is a giant schnauzer and weighs 130 pounds. I could not have asked for anything more. She was absolutely wonderful. Oscar had just had a fairly major surgery and needed extra care as I was working out of town. She was able to transport Oscar to the emergency vet to have them replace the surgical bandage that he had removed. She spent extra time including much of her personal time to care for Oscar. We have never had anyone care for our big boy like that. Thank you, Rowan and best of luck with whatever you do. We will miss you.

We have two Springer Spaniels, Betty White and Blanche that Rowan has cared for multiple times. She’s responsible and dependable and always makes sure our dogs are well taken care of

Schedule
I have a flexible schedule this summer with a part time internship, so I am available mornings, evenings, and weekends. I may be away for a few hours during the day on some weekdays, but I always plan my schedule to make sure pets are well cared for and checked on consistently. I keep my calendar updated and communicate clearly about availability.
