Hi, I'm Rowan! I provide specialized pet care for cats and dogs based on their unique needs! I offer boarding, house sitting, drop in visits, daycare, and dog walking. My experience: I have several years of professional experience working at luxury dog daycare and boarding facilities. In these roles, I provided around the clock animal care, administered medications, provided special services for senior and disabled dogs, and more. I've also volunteered hundreds of hours as an animal care attendant and dog walker at animal shelters and non-profits like Tails. In addition to this, I have a lifetime of personal experience caring for cats and dogs for friends, colleagues, and neighbors! About me: I'm currently finishing my final semester (virtually) as a graduate student in cultural anthropology. During my BA program in environmental studies, I took multiple classes on animal behavior and animal ethics, so caring for animals is a long term passion of mine! Rowan took such great care of our dogs and home. We got regular updates on the pups and she was very responsive. The house was better than we left it and she made a sweet portrait of our doggos! She will definitely be one of our first go-to's for any future trips.
Rowan was wonderful with my two cats. They did an overnight stay for me while I was out of town for a few days. They followed my care instructions to a T, playing with them, and even getting cuddles from my pickiest cat! I would trust Rowan to watch my cats any day. They are extremely responsible and caring.
Rowan has pet sat for me a couple of times whenever I’m out of town. Most recently, they watched my three cats and one dog for two weeks. Rowan was absolutely great about sending pictures and keeping me updated the entire time. I was so happy to know my pets were in such loving, responsible hands, and I highly recommend them for your pets as well!
Rowan is amazing!! They are extremely attentive and care deeply about animals! In addition to taking care of my cats, I have seen the careful and thorough care they have given to their dog in the past. They are also great at communication and always go above and beyond!!
Rowan was awesome while walking and caring for my puppy! Right in time during all meeting points. I could tell they had experience interacting with and handling dogs very well. I felt comfortable trusting my pet in their care. Would definitely hire them again!
rowan pet sat my senior dog multiple times and I've never felt more at ease when having to leave him for traveling. they sent me regular updates, asked great follow up questions to make sure he got the best care possible and were the most reliable and loving caretaker I've ever found. could not recommend enough!

Schedule
I'm currently a graduate student in cultural anthropology finishing my final semester virtually. My schedule is extremely flexible and I'm able to respond quickly to whatever you or your pet need!

Safety, trust & environment
For boarding: I live in a spacious apartment next to a big park where your pup can get plenty of outside time. I'm happy to play, cuddle, give space, go for walks, or provide anything else your pet needs. Because I live in an apartment, quiet dogs are preferred. For House sitting: When in your home, I'll follow all your instructions exactly and provide prompt communication. I'm also happy to send regular updates with pictures of your pet. :)
A typical day
I curate daily activities with pets based on their needs and energy levels. If you have an active pet, then they'll get a combination of outdoor exercise and indoor play. I love to create treat puzzles and sensory toy boxes for individual play when your pet wants space but still needs something to do, and when they're feeling social we can play catch, tug of war, chase laser pointers, or cuddle.
