Hi! I'm Rosilynn. I live in Portland and love being outside. I was a dog mom for 13 years, and sadly... my sweet Strudel passed away last year. He lived a beautiful, happy, and long life. Even though I'm not ready to have another dog of my own, I so miss being around furry friends. Which is why I started Rover. I love dogs with all my heart. I love walking them, spoiling them, and making sure they're having the best day ever. I raised Strudel from a puppy to a senior, so I'm familiar with frequent potty breaks, medications, looking for glass on the sidewalk... all the dog mom things! Your precious will be loved and looked after in my home. I work from home so I will be with them most of the time. And if you'd like, I'm happy to bring them around the city with me. They'll get as many walks as they want. We can spend time at the park, get treats along the way, and anything their heart (with your permission) desires. They'll also feel like they're on vacation! Please note ** I dog sit part time because I love dogs and I enjoy this :) I also travel frequently so as of now I am unable to commit to consistent and recurring weekly needs. When I am in Portland, I am happy to pet sit!

I cannot recommend Rosilynn enough as a dog sitter. She is truly a great pet parent, and I've had the pleasure of seeing firsthand how she cares for her own dog, Strudel, as well as other dogs. Rosilynn is gentle, kind, and without a doubt the best dog mom I have ever seen. Sadly, Rosilynn lost Strudel, and it was the hardest thing I have ever seen her go through. We all had to support her through that time because we knew she hadn't just lost a pet, she had lost a child. Watching her grieve showed us just how deep her love for animals truly goes, and it's a bond that never fades. She takes her pets everywhere with her and treats them like family. Every time she encounters another dog, she always makes a point to say hello, it's just a reflection of how much she genuinely cares. I would trust her with my own pet any day, without hesitation. If you're looking for someone who will make your dog feel completely at home, Rosilynn is the one. She will look after your dog like her own and truly be the best, most caring sitter you could ever find, because she knows exactly what it takes to be a loving dog mom.
Rosilynn has taken care of my cat, Sergeant Pepper, more times than I can count and I always leave her feeling confident she will be well loved and taken care of. Sergeant needs daily meds and Rosilynn did a great job giving them to her and monitoring her overall health. Rosilynn loves animals with her whole heart. They bring her immense joy and she wants to dote on them in every way possible.

Schedule
I work from home so I am able to stay with them for most of the time. If you're comfortable with it, I'm happy to bring them around if/when I run errands. I will take them out whenever they need in the morning and can accomodate almost all potty schedules. I usually walk 3+ miles a day, so I'm happy to bring them along if they will enjoy that distance! Please note ** I dog sit part time because I love dogs and I enjoy this :) I also travel frequently so as of now I am unable to commit to consistent and recurring weekly needs. When I am in Portland, I am happy to pet sit!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment but go outside often. I am always looking out to avoid any glass on the sidewalk, I have never run into that problem, but just in case. And double checking their leash/harness is on correctly. I can also cross the sidewalk if they are not friendly with other dogs, I will always approach other dogs with caution for their safety.
A typical day
I love going on walks! I walk 3+ miles a day and will happily bring your pup. I also run, so if your dog likes running, I'm happy to take them on 5-10 miles, whatever they're comfortable/happy with! I usually bring dogs with me to restaurants or coffee shops where we can sit outside together. I also love sitting on my balcony and people watching (kinda a dog myself 😆). I talk to dogs all day long and I usually never leave their side. I can give them an abundance of treats, or however much their diet allows. Don't worry, your dog will have so much fun with me! They will also feel like they're on vacation. Of course, pending you are okay with this too!
