Hello, my name is Rosie and my partner is Henry. We have both grown up with dogs in our homes and have 15 years of experience between us in looking after dogs. We have often looked after our friends dogs whilst they are on holiday and can offer a warm and playful home for your dog to stay too. We have our own dog , Poppy. She is a 2 year old chocolate cockapoo who is very loving and playful. She can be nervous sometimes but usually warms to others quickly. We know that all dogs are different and have different needs, so whether your dog wants to go out for long walkies or chill in front of the tv with us, we can offer whatever is best for them. I’m currently doing hybrid working, going into the office 2 days a week and working from home the rest of the time. Poppy and I usually go out for a 40 minute walk at lunch time and have longer walks on the weekends - usually between 1 hr and 1hr and a half. Your dog will have regular toilet time in our garden. Henry is home from work in the evenings and we can do additional walks together in the evening. Dogs are free to roam around our house to make themselves comfortable and are welcome on the sofa for cuddles. We have a good size garden with a large grassed area for dogs to run around in. Our garden gate is secure with 2 locks and the fence is 8ft so it is very secure. We can easily accommodate a crate for your dog if that’s what they need. Poppy sleeps in our bedroom but strictly in her own bed. We are happy to have your dog in our bedroom at night in their bed or crate, or downstairs in the kitchen. We want them to feel safe and comfortable! I do work full time but have plenty of time to play with your pup when I’m working from home, Poppy and I would usually do a couple of walks a day to our local woods and fields, amongst other nearby parks so your dog would of course come with us. At weekends we do longer walks or sometimes have a drive out to somewhere new. We are happy for dogs to roam around our house freely to explore and we have lots of toys and bones to keep your pup entertained. I think it is good to let them find a spot to rest where they feel most comfortable. We have a good sized garden with a large fence and I would be letting the dogs in the garden throughout the day. If your dog allows it, we would have plenty of cuddles and treats throughout the day.
