Rosie can care for

Even though I currently have a part-time job, caring for animals is still a big part of my everyday life. I take full responsibility for my own pets at home, making sure they’re fed, clean, healthy, and happy. Pet Care fits perfectly into my routine as it allows me to continue doing what I love — working with animals — even while balancing another job. My goal is to eventually pursue a full-time career in animal care, and this is a great step toward making that dream a reality.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always treat the space with respect and aim to make the animals feel safe and secure. I follow any routines or instructions provided closely, as I know consistency is important for their well-being. I take time to build trust with each pet, using calm body language, gentle handling, and positive interaction. I make sure the environment stays clean and hazard-free, always keeping an eye out for anything that could affect their comfort or safety. My priority is to make sure both the pets and their owners feel confident and relaxed while I’m in their home.
Information Rosie D. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for the owners to share any medical needs, allergies, or behavioral issues their pet may have, as well as feeding routines, preferred walking schedules, and any fears or triggers (like loud noises or other animals). I’d also want to know their comfort with other people or pets, how they react when left alone, and what calming techniques work best for them. Details about their favorite toys, treats, or enrichment activities are helpful too, so I can support their emotional wellbeing and keep them happy, safe, and comfortable in their routine.
A typical day
I would engage the pet in a variety of enriching activities that support their physical health, mental stimulation, and emotional wellbeing. This includes sensory walks to encourage natural behaviors, interactive puzzle feeders for cognitive enrichment, short positive-reinforcement training sessions, and calm bonding time through grooming or cuddles. I’d also incorporate independent play with toys like Kongs or snuffle mats, and light physical exercise such as fetch or agility-style games to ensure a balanced and fulfilling day.

Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Rosie, and I’ve been passionate about caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve gained hands-on experience through nearly a year and a half of voluntary work at a doggy day care, where I helped with feeding, cleaning, and keeping the dogs happy and entertained. What began as school work experience quickly turned into a long-term opportunity, as the staff invited me to stay on after I finished school. I also spent three months working on a farm, where I handled, fed, and cleaned a variety of animals as part of my training. I’ve completed my Level 1 Animal Care qualification and began working toward Level 2 before taking a job in retail, with plans to return and complete my studies. Alongside my practical experience, I’ve always had animals in my life — currently, I share my home with several dogs and cats, and have grown up around animals since childhood. I’m kind, reliable, and truly love caring for animals, which is why I’m excited to offer my services as a pet sitter. You can trust that your pets will be treated with the same love and attention I give my own x

Reviews

Rosie looked after Storm & Rainbow with love & care, she communicated well & kept in touch with updates throughout her stay. Rosie is very accommodating & friendly. I would happily recommend her to others & I'm sure both Storm & Rainbow, along with me, would be happy with being looked after by Rosie again in the future. Thank you Rosie for caring for my dogs like they were your own!
I'm always nervous leaving my cats when I go away but Rosie kept me reassured while i was away and I had 2 very happy and well looked after cats when I arrived home. Would definitely recommend and I'll definitely be using Rosie again!
Rosie was absolutely fantastic taking care of Pablo! Knowing I could rely on her to feed him and check in while I was away made such a difference. She sent me updates that put my mind at ease, and it was clear she genuinely cared about Pablo's well-being. I came home to a happy and relaxed cat, which is the best review I could ask for. It's not easy finding someone you trust with your pet, but Rosie is definitely that person. If you need a responsible, caring, and reliable pet sitter, I can't recommend Rosie enough. She's a natural with animals, and I will definitely be asking her to look after Pablo again in the future!
I cant say enough good things about Rosie. Leaving my 2 Shihtzus with someone is always nerve wracking as they can be quite reactive, but Rosie really put my at ease, she sent regular updates and photos and videos of them enjoying their walks which I really appreciated. It's always clear that my dogs have received lots of love and attention after spending time with Rosie. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a dog walker or sitter.
