I am an incoming graduate student at the Pratt Institute in NYC starting in August. I am taking the summer to work on my art, travel, and enjoy some downtime between working full time at a law firm and starting classes. I would love to take care of some animals over the summer for some extra income and to have some structure in an otherwise loose summer!

When I take care of animals, I like to make sure they are comfortable with me being around them, ensuring they have amble time to get used to my presence. I like to take my time with this, allowing them to build confidence around a new person and so that we can form a real bond! For dogs, I like to have a variety of activities including walks, runs in the backyard if possible, playing with toys, and sometimes even hikes! But if I'm being honest, my favorite part is just hanging out and getting to cuddle with the furry creature! In my previous experiences, I have done 2-4 check in's a day as needed for non-live in clients and these visits can vary in length. I have also had live-in/over night clients.

Pet care experience
I grew up taking care of multiple dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, even feeding and rescuing some wild animals in my neighborhood. I’v always had a strong connection to animals and care deeply for them. I have multiple years of experience with pet sitting, ensuring pets are taken well care of. Animals have taught me so much and I just love to be around them, I think everyone deserves to know their animals are being well taken care of, safe and happy!

I can’t recommend Rose enough for dog sitting. She was our go to for many years, and if we hadn’t moved, she’d still be the one I called whenever we went out of town. Our dog, Cheddar, loved when Rose would watch her. She was reliable, organized and full of energy. I think our dog loved the walks they would go on most. I can’t say enough about Rose- your pet ( I’ve seen her with cats as well and she’s amazing!) will be so happy to have her come take care of them.
Rose is a long time friend and animal lover who I have trusted many times to care for my furry family members. She is a dependable, caring individual who will put your pets needs first, just as she has done with her own dogs and cats. I would highly recommend Rose to tend to any of your pet care needs!
Rose has been a fantastic sitter for our dog, Pepper. She is always there when we need her and seems to have a real gift for handling animals. She has a ton of patience and genuinely cares, which is important because Pepper can be pretty moody. Rose actually put in the effort to learn her quirks, so Pepper stayed relaxed and well looked after. She’s also very dependable as she keeps the feeding on track, makes sure Pepper gets enough exercise, and always goes out of her way to send us updates. It’s a relief to know she’s the one watching our baby.
I have known Rose for ten years. In that time I have observed her take care of numerous pets and animals. I have always known her to be loving and kind toward her pets. I have watched them thrive under her care. I recommend her for this position, I know she is a responsible caregiver!
