My pet care experience is a combination of both professional work and pet parenting. 🐕 🐾 I worked for four years at a dog daycare, grooming, and training facility where I assisted with supervision, feeding, training and handling of dogs, cats and small animals including those who were puppies, seniors, anxious, or had special health issues. I also gained a lot of experience in reading canine body language and assessing dynamics between dogs. I hold Professional Dog Walker's Certification (2019) from Langara College. This program included Pet First Aid Certification and training in areas such as dog behaviour, risk mitigation, and safe, mentally stimulating dog-walking. I have also cherished pets of my own for a good part of my life. My pets have included dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, fish and frogs. My adopted miniature pinscher, Rusty, who passed from cancer in 2024, made a significant impact on me and made me the pet caregiver I am today. He was an anxious and reactive dog, and I remained dedicated to maximizing his comfort and supporting him with compassion and patience. Through my personal pet experiences, I understand the unconditional love and unmatched bond between you and your pet. 💞 I will therefore always treat your pet with the same attentiveness, love and attention that I did my own. I am fully transparent about any issues or health concerns that I might notice during the sitting, and you will receive frequent updates and photographs from me so that you know what your pet is up to at any time.
