Loving care for every kind of pet!
Hi! I'm a graduate student with many years of experience in animal care (I've been on Rover since 2020, and worked with animals for years prior to that!). I have personal and professional experience caring for a wide variety of animals, from hermit crabs to horses (and lots of critters in between!). Please feel free to inquire about pricing for services not listed. For dog owners specifically: I am comfortable handling a variety of dog breeds (I don't discriminate!), ages, sizes, personality types, and behavioural quirks. I have a valid certification in canine and feline first aid by Walks 'N' Wags. This certification reflects my understanding of prevention of illness/injury in dogs and cats, my recognition of signs of common illness/injury, and my ability to perform first-aid skills (including CPR) on dogs and cats. I treat every animal as though they were my own. In particular, I am always mindful of animals' body language, and I am careful to handle animals in a way that minimizes their anxiety and maximizes their comfort. It is important to me to listen to animals' communication so that I can honour their needs and boundaries and can build a mutually trusting relationship. You can rest assured that your pet will be in loving, capable hands and that I understand how important they are to you!

Safety, trust & environment
I maintain a clean, safe environment and make sure there is nothing lying around in the home that pets can get into. I am especially careful to safely store all food, garbage, and medications. Before starting a sit, I always ask owners where their pets normally stay (e.g., in a crate or in a pet-proofed part of the house) when they are home alone, and I uphold their usual routine when I have to leave pets home alone. I do my best to respond to owners' messages promptly, especially while their pets are in my care!
Ratings and reviews

Schedule
I am generally available to provide services on both weekdays and weekends. I do about 50% of my academic work on campus and about 50% from home. While working from home, I am very flexible with my schedule, so I prioritize keeping pets' routines as consistent as possible.
