Welcome to your dog’s second home in Cranston’s Riverstone. I’m Rory, a full-time work-from-home sitter who cares for one family’s dogs at a time, so your dog gets focused attention and a predictable, low-stress stay. I’m home throughout the day and night, which means your dog is rarely alone. If I do step out briefly, it’s never for more than an hour, and I’m always happy to align with your dog’s routine and comfort level. ⸻ Daily routine, walks, and outdoor time We have a fully fenced backyard for regular outdoor breaks, play, and relaxed time outside. I’m also just two blocks from the Bow River pathway system, with paved and unpaved trails, hills, and quiet spots that are perfect for sniffing and exploring. Walks are tailored to the dog. That can mean a short 10-minute stroll, or longer 8 km loops (an hour or more) through the river paths and surrounding hills, depending on age, energy level, and preference. ⸻ A calm canine companion Your dog will share the space with Willow, my well-mannered senior Great Dane. She’s low-energy, gentle, and has spent now 3 years helping visiting dogs settle in comfortably. Her calm presence is especially helpful for dogs who benefit from a relaxed, steady environment while their owners are away. Because I only host one household at a time, the dynamic stays simple and manageable. ⸻ Experience and care approach I grew up on a farm and have cared for animals my entire life. I’m comfortable with puppies (typically not intact males), adult dogs, and seniors, and I’m happy to administer oral medications if needed. Dogs are welcome on furniture and can sleep in the same room as me. Crates are preferred for sleeping and downtime, and I can provide extra-large crates if requested, or use your own setup if that’s what your dog prefers. ⸻ Drop-ins and house checks In addition to boarding and daycare, I offer pet drop-ins and daytime house checks in south Calgary and northern Okotoks. These visits can include feeding, walks, companionship, plant watering, mail collection, and garbage day management.

Onyx stayed with Rory and Willow for a week while we were out of country. From the meet n greet onwards I felt at ease with my choice and Onyx loved his vacation. We got regular updates and pictures and I felt so at ease with the stay. I Would definitely recommend and book again!

Schedule
I work from home and can keep a 24/7 eye on your pet. When sitting we won’t be leaving them at home, and will take them on daily walks around the neighborhood, including the paved walkways along the Bow River in Riverstone.

I work from home full-time and only look after one family’s dogs at a time, so pets get plenty of supervision and consistency. My home has a fully fenced yard for frequent outdoor breaks, and walks and playtime are always tailored to each dog’s needs. I closely follow feeding and care instructions, can give oral medications if needed, and send regular photo updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

A typical day
I have a flexible work from home job so we will spend time together at the house all day. They’ll have the option to go outside into the backyard to play as needed. I usually end work around 3pm and depending on the weather we will do a walk around the bow river and up the hill around Cranston’s Riverstone neighbourhood.
