Two Dog Lovers, Twice the Care

We’re a dog-loving couple who have been around dogs and cats our whole lives, with many years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities. We regularly look after dogs for friends and family, particularly when they’re away on holiday, so welcoming someone else’s dog into our home is something we’re already very comfortable with. Between us, we’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and large dogs to nervous, elderly and unwell dogs who need a little more patience and attention. We have experience with medication, special diets, accidents, mobility assistance and overnight care, and understand that every dog has their own individual needs. We love getting out for walks and playing (fetch is a particular favourite with many of our regular four-legged visitors!), but we’re equally happy having a quiet day and plenty of cuddles on the sofa with an older or less energetic dog. We’re comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes and will adapt what we do around their personality, age and usual routine. We don’t currently have pets of our own, so dogs staying with us can get lots of individual attention. While they’re here, we want them to feel like part of our family rather than simply a guest we're looking after. We genuinely love having dogs around and are excited to welcome more of them into our home. Our aim is for owners to be able to go away knowing their dog is somewhere they’re happy, comfortable and being thoroughly spoiled!

Doggy Day Care • Sep 10, 2026

Looked after our dog as if it was his own, we collected her happy and chilled and she had a good day looking at the photos. Will book again soon for more days.

Kenny our Labrador had a great time and was clearly well looked after. We were kept updated regularly and sent lots of photographs and our minds were put at ease knowing our dog was being cared for. Would definitely recommend!

Rory and his partner were absolutely lovely and made me feel completely at ease leaving Lily with them for two nights. They were very friendly and kept me updated throughout her stay, sending regular updates about her walks, playing with her toys, and how she was getting on. They were always in contact, which really reassured me and made me feel that Lily was safe, happy, and being well looked after. I would 100% recommend Rory and will definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you both for taking such good care of Lily!

After a very last minute booking from us Rory was excellent at looking after our lovely Henry, with good picture updates. Henry clearly enjoyed his stay and was shattered after having a fab time. Would thoroughly recommend

Fern stayed over for just one night and she seemed to have a great time. It was a last minute booking and was so glad they were available. They sent me updates on her and how she was and they were very friendly. Was very happy with her staying here and will 100% ask for them to have Fern again, this was her first night away from home and family and she settled pretty well. Very happy

I was very happy leaving my two dogs with Rory and Lauren for the weekend. They took such good care of them and kept me updated with some lovely photos while I was away. Both dogs seemed very happy and settled when I picked them up. It was nice knowing they were being well cared for and getting plenty of fuss. I would be more than happy for them to stay with Rory and Lauren again.

Schedule

One of the biggest advantages of staying with us is that Rory works from home full-time, so your dog will have company throughout the day rather than routinely being left home alone. We’re both naturally quite home-based and spend most of our evenings and weekends at home too. When we have a dog staying with us, their needs come first and we’ll organise our routine around them. We’re completely flexible when it comes to walks, feeding and bedtime. If your dog is used to an early morning walk, several walks throughout the day, particular feeding times or a final trip outside before bed, we’re happy to keep that routine going. Every dog is different, so we’ll discuss their normal schedule with you beforehand and keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while they’re staying with us.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a spacious four-bedroom home in a quiet neighbourhood, with no children or pets of our own, so visiting dogs can enjoy plenty of space, attention and a calm environment. Our home has a relatively large, fully enclosed garden with both grass and patio areas, easily accessible through our conservatory. There’s plenty of room for dogs to play, explore or simply relax outside safely. We’re also only around 30 seconds' walk from a large park with open fields and a small woodland area, which is perfect for walks and games of fetch. We’re just as happy taking an energetic dog out for a good run around as we are taking things slowly with an older dog who prefers a gentle wander. Inside, dogs are treated as part of the family. They’re welcome to relax with us on the furniture, and if your dog normally sleeps in your bedroom or even on the bed, that’s absolutely fine with us. We have plenty of space throughout the house and can also provide a separate, quiet area if that’s what makes your pet most comfortable. We’re happy to follow detailed instructions around feeding, special diets, medication, walks and sleeping arrangements. We have experience administering oral medication and caring for dogs who have accidents or need additional assistance, particularly puppies and senior dogs. We’re always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so you and your dog can get to know us and see where they’ll be staying. While you’re away, we’ll also send regular photos, videos and updates so you can see exactly how they’re getting on. Above all, we want you to feel completely comfortable leaving your dog with us. We’ll treat them as one of the family for however long they’re here.
