I’ve been working with Roosevelt as a dog walker for several years now, and he’s been absolutely wonderful with my two senior shelties, Rocky (11) and Rosko (12). Rosko has arthritis and requires medication and special care, and Roosevelt handles everything with such gentleness and patience. What really sets him apart is his genuine love for animals. You can see it in every interaction he has with them. He doesn’t just walk the dogs. He truly engages with them through play, whether that’s fetch, tug-of-war, or simply running around and letting them chase him. He keeps me updated and consistently goes above and beyond. On several occasions, he’s noticed that the dogs needed extra time to burn off energy and has extended their walks without being asked. He’s even refused payment for the extra time. That’s the kind of person Roosevelt is. I would trust him without hesitation with any pet, including those with special needs and mobility issues. He’s an invaluable part of our dogs’ lives.
