Ron's Doggie Playhouse

Pet care experience

Hi, my name is Ron My entire life I have always loved dogs! I try to only sit for 1 dog, or family of dogs at a time so your dog(s) is normally the only one I'm sitting for during their stay. Pickup times and drop-off times may overlap. I do work outside the home so your pup must be crate trained or at least be ok hanging out at home until I get home. I grew up on a family farm with all kinds of animals but ever since I can remember I've always had dogs. I love all animals but have always had a special love for dogs and always had 3 or 4 in the house growing up as a kid and 1 or 2 as an adult. I have been watching friends and family members dogs whenever anyone would go out of town since I was 10 years old and have continued to do so for the last 40 years so I have lots of experience. I've been sitting dogs on Rover since 2017 and have had hundreds of happy dogs come to stay. Your dog will be treated like a family member in my home free to roam the house and yard and sleep where he or she wants, just like at home. Food and multiple water bowls are washed daily and filled with clean fresh water. Your dogs safety is my top priority and I take it seriously. To make sure no dogs can ever escape, my back yard is fully fenced with a solid wood fence and a large grassy area to run and play. I'm always outside with the dogs when they go outside so I can watch them. I have dog gates on my front door and the door leading to the garage and I always block the dogs off with a gate in the living room before removing the gate to open the front door. You will see when you drop off and pickup. No dogs are ever off leash outside of the home for walks. I am American Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR Certified. Administration of medications as well as special diets are not a problem. Your dogs and my dog are separated for feeding to ensure everyone gets their own food. I go on daily walks if your dog likes walks. The time of day depends on the weather. In the summer it's usually before the sun comes up since my Lexi doesn't do heat and I'm not a huge fan either. Lexi has plenty of toys to share and loves to play if your dog likes to run and play and I have lots of love, affection and time to give. I do work, but I am home by 1pm at the latest on days that I do work. I have the entire rest of the day and all day on my days off to devote to loving, caring for, playing with and walking your pup(s). Your dog must be ok being left home alone either in a crate or roaming the house while I am away at work. Dogs are separated while I am away for safety. My dog is happy to sleep on my bed when I am away so I leave her in my room and your dog can have the rest of the house or their crate, whatever they are accustomed to. If this sounds like the perfect place for your dog book early because while I can host up to 3 dogs at a time I try to only host 1 client at a time which allows me to provide 5 star service and to ensure that your dog gets the love affection and attention he or she is accustomed to and deserves.

Ron was the best, let us meet up before hand to check the place out and was very welcoming from the start. He was flexible with my drop off and pick up times, sent photos every night, and Reggie seemed to smiling in every photo. Highly recommend.

Ron is a regular Dr. Doolittle! He is so good with our dogs and our dogs love his dog, Lexi. Heck, I love Lexi, too! I really appreciated Ron accepting our request to sit for our dogs even though his calendar was full. We can't wait to come back and see Lexi and the rest of the gang, whoever it may be, the next time we need Ron. Thanks Ron! We appreciate you, and the pictures and updates you send each day.

Ron took time to do a meet and greet with Willa to ensure that his dog and her got along. It went smoothly and from there I booked this first stay. His communication was clear and prompt, both in arranging the boarding booking and throughout the stay. Over the two-and-a-half-day-stay, he sent two updates with photos. We were running about half an hour late on our trip back from climbing in Yosemite and he was generous is his willingness to continuing watching Willa. Ron’s home is safe for dogs with a beautiful fenced back yard and doggie gates inside; there are also many dog beds, toys, and filled water bowls. He had everything Willa needed for a comfortable, interactive, and engaged stay. Finally, Ron is a warm and attentive dog sitter; he let Willa take the lead in their greeting, a posture that set her at ease as she got her bearings. You can tell he cares deeply about the dogs he watches. I am grateful to have booked with Ron and highly recommend him!

Our pups had a great stay, and were worn out from playing. Everything went well.
