Dog photographer turned Rover
When I moved to the Bay Area in 2016 I spent 2 years volunteering at multiple dog rescues in the area, including the Humane Society of Silicon Valley and Nike Animal Rescue Foundation (NARF) socializing and photographing adoptable dogs. My wife and I spent 6 years caring for our first adopted dog, Cara, who turned out to be reactive and required tons of behavioral and obedience training that we learned through the San Francisco SPCA. If your pup is in training, I'd be happy to continue to reinforce any good behaviors with positive reinforcement training while you're away.

Roger is an amazing pet caregiver! He has watched our 9.5 year old Frenchie mix, Finn, multiple times and catered to his specific needs and behaviors. He administered medicine as needed, followed our strict diet for Finn, and made sure he got plenty of exercise. I would say Finn got even more training away than he does at home. Not surprising as Roger has over 7 years experience with dog training and pet ownership. Finn came home happy, healthy, and well rested. It was an added bonus to get daily videos and pictures while we were away to know Finn was well loved and cared for. We would gladly have Roger watch Finn any time!

Schedule
We live minutes away from the Los Gatos Creek Trail and I love to go on long walks in the morning and/or evening with plenty of shorter walks in between, as needed. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to work from home most days, so your pup will be able to hang out with me while I take meetings and work on my laptop. My wife gets home from work in the evening after 5 so your pup will have a second person to play or cuddle with.

Safety, trust & environment
We live on the second floor condo within a community with plenty of grass for potty breaks and sniff walks. Inside the home, we have spare crates if your pup is crate trained. We also have a large pen/enclosure, a spare dog bed, and a few dog toys that we can use to make your dog comfortable and feel right at home.
A typical day
Outside of the house, I love to take dogs out for long walks along the nearby trail. At home I like to play fetch or tug-of-war, and work on training good behaviors and basic tricks with treats and toys.
