Meet Rover Robyn!
ABOUT US: "Rover Robyn" is not my actual name, but Robyn is. I would like to forewarn you, your pet will be cared for by BOTH me and my 13-y/o son as it help fulfills our mutual love for animals big and small. So if that set-up is not your jam, no hard feelings. OUR FURRY (AND SCALEY) BACKGROUND: We currently have a sweet, super friendly, 9 y/o Silky Terrier, but I have been around animals pretty much my entire life, having at one point lived with a Black Lab, 3 Chinese Pugs, 4 Chihuahuas, 2 Silky Terriers, 3 Italian Mastiffs, a miniature Australian Shepard, 2 kitties, a tortoise, a hamster, a green iguana, and a plethora of fish, shrimp, and frogs. My childhood was basically a miniature petting zoo! My son has also been around animals since he was born (i.e., 1 of the 3 Chinese Pugs, 2 of the 4 Chihuahuas, 1 of the Silky Terriers, the 3 Italian Mastiffs, the miniature Australian Shepard, 1 of the 2 kitties, the tortoise, and the plethora of fish, shrimp, and frogs) and holds a deep love for all creatures big and small. OUR PROMISE TO YOU: We solemnly vow to love on, care for, and have fun with your furry loved one while you are away for work or play. We understand how much of a responsibility it is to be entrusted with the care of a family member and are honored that you have taken the time to read our profile and are considering us as a caregiving candidate. THE NOT-SO-SMALL PRINT: -While I WFH the majority of the time, I do have to pop into work on occasion. When that occurs, I have my sister (aka the dog whisperer) either stay or check in on the pups throughout the day. -If we watch your furkids over the weekend or during a holiday, we like to visit my parents in Browns Point (N.E. Tacoma). They have a big, fenced yard with dog-friendly plants, a Chihuahua, and live near a huge playfield and walking trails. -We usually bathe the doggies we watch so if your fur kid has any product allergies or if you prefer for us not to, please let me know. We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your fur kid(s)!

Schedule
I WFH for the most part - I occasionally have to pop into the office for an in-person meeting but will let you know if and when I do to ensure utmost care for your furkid and peace-of-mind for you. I able to take your pup on regular potty breaks and short walks throughout the workday and a longer walk or dog park (if fur parents are ok with it) after my workday ends. The weekends are all about fun and adventures so your pup will most likely tag along with us!

Safety, trust & environment
When I pups stay in our home, I like to create a similar environment and enforce the same house rules that s/he are accustomed to when they are with you at home. That being said, I’m fine with them being on the couch and sleeping on/in bed with me as long as you are. I have experience with both administering medication (oral, topical, and injectable’s) and supporting the needs of senior pups and knowledgeable about pet first aid and CPR. I send daily updates with pictures and will not hesitate to reach out if I have any concerns or questions.
Pets
A typical day
As a family, we often attend community events and visit family on the weekends. We have a stroller and a sling for our furry friends with mobility issues so they can tag along with us to the farmer’s market, cultural event, etc. One of our favorite ways to end a weekend night with our furry friend(s) is to snuggle on the couch while taking in a movie or a good book.
