Calm house and family ready for you
We are a family that loves animals. We have chickens and we love to look after other people's dogs (and cats). We love getting outside to hike and walk and explore. We have a quiet and calm home on Central Saanich Rd near Keating Cross Rd. We have a 11 year old daughter who is very loving and gentle with other people's pets. Robin and Luc both work from home right now so we're home all the time to look after your pet. What sets us apart? We love to play and walk and give lots of love and care to other people's animals. We also send oodles of photos and updates of your pet while they're in our care. If your dog comes over night, they don't need to sleep in a crate but they can sleep on a dog bed in the living room or at the foot of our bed on a carpet. We have a big backyard that is fully fenced for your rover to roam around. If your rover likes dog parks, we are about a 5 minute walk from a dog park where we will go and throw the ball until your pooch is tuckered out. Please consider our home and family is a home away from home for your beloved pet. We’re also only 2 mins off the Pat Bay Highway so easy drop off and pickup on your way to and from the ferry or airport. We're working full time from home so plenty of time to play with your dog and take them for walks. We're available during the day, evenings and weekends. We have a fully fenced yard and can crate your dog if that is more comfortable for them. We also will take you pup on leash out into the yard if that feels more comfortable for you for potty breaks. If your pup can be left alone for short periods, we have a camera that we put on in the house so we can keep and eye on them. If your dog feels more comfortable not meeting other dogs while on walks, that's not a problem.

Robin and Luc are wonderful sitters. Our rough collie, Robbie, has stayed with them twice now when we have gone on vacation. He is clearly relaxed with them. Robin sends regular photos and is super quick to respond to messages. They give the very best care to Robbie so that we can enjoy our time away. I highly recommend them!
Robin and Luc welcomed my dog Rufus into their home like a member of the family. He was well cared for with lots of walks and play time in their backyard. I especially appreciated that they listened to and carried out my many instructions for care and training. I would be happy to leave Rufus with them again anytime.
A great experience for all involved. Robin and Luc were great and, from the photos they sent, it looked like our Seamus had a great time as well!
Robin and Luc made Lewis feel instantly at home with them and were very flexible as we anticipated a potential ferry cancellation. It was fun getting their updates and pictures!
Luc and Robin looked after Nandi when he was a pup and again in Nov 2024. Nandi was feeling like at home. Thank you for taking such a great care of him.
A warm and friendly family looked after our pooch. They gave us lots of updates and pictures about the progress of our dog. They did not hesitate to ask additional questions about his habits and preferences to ensure our dog was well card for during his stay. We were happy with the experience.

Schedule
Luc and I both work from home most days and love to take the dogs for walks on our lunch break. We also love after dinner walks and morning strolls.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced yard and no other animals. We prefer to take one dog at a time or a pair from the same family. We love to play fetch in our yard if dogs don't like other dogs. We also feel strongly about having dogs on a leash at all times outside of the home. We want to ensure your dog is safe at all times.
A typical day
We live about 5 minutes driving from the beach so we can go to the beach and go swimming or stick fetching or ball catching. We live about 5 mins walking from the dog park. If your dog needs two walks a day, we have a 1km route we can take them on twice a day if needed.
