We are a family of 4 with two dogs and two cats. We live in Kitsilano near access to parks and beaches. Robin works from home and will do most of the caring for the animals you leave with us. She has had a dog all of her life and has taken care of elderly and sick pets as well. She loves to be surrounded by animals and will take prodigious care of yours. Our family dogs are walked twice a day morning and evening and are allowed access to the fully fenced backyard any time during the day often joined by Robin where they chase, roll and gallivant with dog pull toys and balls. Our animals and therefore your pet(s) are not left alone for long periods of time usually just running out to drop off the girls at some activity. Otherwise the dog will have around the clock supervision. We love to take dogs for hikes/walks through the endowment lands or to Spanish Banks dog bark. We also like Hadden park near the maritime museum but depending on the time of year it can be crowded. Your dog will join ours for frolic and fun. Your will be allowed to sleep where ever they are comfortable and there are many separate areas where dogs can be partitioned if they prefer to sleep alone. We do have crates but primarily so that they are alone spaces for the dogs where they can den and feel comfortable, the doors are usually kept open and unlocked Most of all the girls love dogs. They will accompany Robin and Paul on the dog walks, they will run and chase and play with the dog at the park or in the backyard and be part of our extended family for the stay. Booking fees for boarding are for 24 hours and for daycare are for 12 hours. If your stay is not within these time frames please feel free to ask and we will try to work something out. Please make sure to confirm drop off times and pickup times are available if you haven't booked with us before. We are flexible but are a busy family too. Thank you we appreciate your business and cooperation. UPDATE - please note that if you are booking in the summer, on the weekends your dog may be taken to a mountain retreat. We go up on the weekends to whistler and your dog is welcome to come. The house is a puppy friendly personally owned chateau with dog runs and parks close by. As in our Vancouver home your puppy will be cared for walked and played with. Please note that this means if you are booking for the weekend your dog may need to be dropped off on friday before 6pm may not be available for pickup until 7pm on Sunday.
