Pet care experience

My home is theirs!

I've taken care of my own animals as well as friends' and neighbors' since I was a teenager, which was a long time ago! In 2013, I became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer so that I could help make more dogs' lives better with their humans. I take the time to learn about each individual animal in my care so that I can provide the best home away from home environment for them. I've cared for puppies (I have a great potty training protocol) and seniors with mobility issues and everything in between.

I have used Robin many times over the years for providing dog training for my 3-high energy monsters. Hands down, she's the best. She uses very simple and direct approaches and is able to explain in human terms the psychology behind her methods and why the are effective on my pets. She uses lots of positive reinforcement and praise, none of the barbarian tactics like Caesar Milan. My dogs view their training sessions with her as 'fun time' and they always come home much better behaved pets. She has a super cool agility course in her MASSIVE backyard and she's quick to come up with solutions if my dogs aren't able to grasp the task I am trying to get them to accomplish. I've learned so much from her over the years and have referred dozens of happy clients to her. Please give her a chance you won't regret it!!

Schedule

I currently work from home and set my own schedule. When the weather permits, I work outside so that my dog and any guest dogs can enjoy the outdoors. We also walk several times a day and do some training or other type of mental enrichment. I have an agility course in my backyard for those who want to really get a workout!

Safety, trust & environment

I always ask for as much information as possible about the pet's usual routine so that we don't disrupt it any more than we have to. Your pet's health and safety are of the utmost importance, so I will always err on the side of caution. I also give consideration to the pet's emotional well being, since being separated from their family can be stressful.

Pets

A typical day

I'm very active and enjoy multiple walks throughout the day. I also have a large backyard where we can play fetch, sniff around, play tug, or just hang out. If a dog is staying with me and the human would like some training added on, we will do that as well!

I need to know if your dog has any fears or anxiety about anything so that I can ensure that their stay with me is as peaceful and stress free as possible. Any dietary restrictions or allergies are crucial to be aware of, but I also want to know what your dog loves! Coming to stay with me should be almost as much fun as you coming to pick them up. :)
