Pet care experience

Your Dog's Second Best Friend 😅

As a lifelong dog owner and pet sitter, I have a genuine love for animals, nature, and the great outdoors. Over the years, I’ve owned and cared for a wide range of pets, including a Pug, French Bulldog, Kerry Blue Terrier, German Shepherd, Cocker Spaniel, Cavapoo, and three Persian cats, along with various other animals. I completely understand how stressful it can be to leave your dog behind if it is your first time using Rover, which is why I’m committed to making the experience as easy and reassuring as possible for both you and your dog. No matter which service you choose, I’ll send plenty of photos and videos, and I’m always happy to offer live video calls if you’re really missing them. I now live in Kingston in a house with a large, private, fully fenced garden. I’m happy to accept boarding requests for dogs up to 24 kilogram at my home, not bigger. For dogs larger than this, I’m still available for all other Rover services. You can view photos of my house and garden on my profile for reference. For boarding stays, I’m best suited to dogs who are reasonably trained, comfortable in a home environment, and able to settle calmly, so everyone has a relaxed and happy experience. Kingston is surrounded by fantastic green spaces, with several large and small parks nearby, including Bushy Park and Richmond Park. These parks are ideal for on-leash walks, and dogs who haven’t experienced the scent of wild animals and deer often have an amazing time exploring. For off-leash fun, there’s also a huge, dog-friendly playing field close by where dogs can safely run, play fetch, and burn off energy. At home, the garden provides a secure and convenient space for quick potty breaks and outdoor play throughout the day. With my extensive experience, I’m confident I can provide the perfect environment for your dog while you’re away, or if you simply need someone reliable to take them on long, enjoyable walks. Whether your dog is big or small, young or old, I know how to help them feel comfortable and settled quickly. I’m experienced with all types of temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra care and patience. I also enjoy puppy training and understand the extra attention and gentler pace that older dogs often require. I believe every dog is unique, and I’m dedicated to providing personalised care based on your dog’s individual needs, routine, and personality. My goal is always to make sure each dog feels loved, well cared for, and has plenty of attention and playtime. Your dog will have two dedicated caregivers in our home, as my housemate is also a lifelong dog owner, she is working from which is a big bonus. We have a strict rule that dogs staying with us are never left alone, so your dog will always have company and feel safe and secure in their new environment. If it’s more convenient for you, I also offer a pickup and drop-off service through Rover and am happy to drive to collect your dog along with any necessary supplies. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or if there’s anything you’d like to discuss. I’m here to make sure both you and your dog have a completely worry-free experience.

This was our dog's first stay with Rob and went as well as any dog-owner could wish for. From our meet and greet session it was clear that he knows a lot about dogs and understands them very well. I picked up a happy and relaxed dog yesterday morning and am really delighted with how Telford's stay went. I thoroughly recommend Rob.

Dog Walking • Jun 19, 2026

Yet another wonderful walk with Robert. Kyle absolutely adores him and genuinely looks forward to their time together each week. Robert is kind, dependable, and has a natural way with dogs. It's lovely to see how happy and comfortable Kyle is with him. We couldn't ask for a better dog walker. Thank you, Robert, for being so wonderful with Kyle!

Doggy Day Care • Jun 13, 2026

Rob was an absolute lifesaver, helping us out at the very last minute and being incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. During Roger's stay we received plenty of photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind and allowed us to see how much fun he was having. Roger looked very relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands. Thank you once again, Robert!

Rob stepped in to help us just before we left for a holiday of over two weeks. From the moment we connected, he was incredibly reassuring and clearly very knowledgeable about dogs. Milo settled in almost immediately, which says everything about the calm and caring environment Rob provides. Throughout our time away, he kept us updated with plenty of photos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind. Because of Rob, we were able to truly relax and enjoy our holiday knowing Milo was in capable hands - something we haven’t always experienced when travelling. That sense of ease made the break all the more special for us! We would 100% trust him with Milo again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for someone dependable to look after their pet. ❤️

My schedule is extremely flexible, and I am available to care for your dog with unconditional love and attention at any time. With more free time in recent months I decided to join this platform as I miss having a dog in the house but can't commit to a new member of the family now for the long-term , I can provide a consistent routine to ensure their happiness and comfort while you are away, You can trust that your dog will receive all the care they need, regardless of any last-minute schedule changes.

Safety, trust & environment

I will care for your dog as if they were my own. From the moment they arrive, they’ll be welcomed into my home as a true member of the family and treated with the same love, patience, and attention I’ve given to dogs I’ve owned and cared for over the years. While your dog is in my care—whether we’re out on a walk, relaxing at home, playing together, or enjoying mealtimes—their safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing will always be my highest priority. I’m always attentive to their needs and behaviour, making sure they feel secure, happy, and well looked after at all times. I offer boarding and daycare because I genuinely enjoy spending quality time with sweet dogs, especially as I’m not able to commit to adopting one of my own right now. To keep it a positive experience for both the dog and the sitter, I’m best suited to dogs with basic training — nothing fancy or show-dog level. Dogs who can settle at home, enjoy walks, playtime, and companionship tend to do really well with me. For boarding stays, it’s important that guests are generally able to settle and sleep well through the night, which is usually clear during a meet & greet.

A typical day

Lots of attention & play time, long walks 2-3 times per day with potty breaks as often as required. Fetch in the park with the ball & his or her fetch toys and tug-of-war at home during play time. Hide and seek with me at home & with their favourite treats, one of the favourites for all my dogs, they love searching for their treats hidden under a pillow or a rug. :-)
