I've been on Rover as a pet owner for the last 12 years, until my sweet dog recently passed, so I know exactly what I was looking for in a pet sitter: Present, dependable and watched after my dog as their own. I grew up in a home always full of cats and dogs, so caring for animals has never felt like a job to me, it's just how I live. As an adult with my wife, Karolina and I shared our home with my precious cat, Sam, that I brought into our relationship who I raised from kittenhood and through his final senior years. Our first furbaby we had together was Huxley, our larger than life, large breed Samoyed who was truly like a child to us, until he passed away very recently. Sam and Huxley got along so well. Having a large breed dog and cats living together taught me a lot about reading different animals' needs and keeping the peace in a multi-pet household. I'm comfortable with all breeds, but we have a real soft spot for large dogs, since that's where most of my hands-on experience lies. I am also experienced giving medication and managing special diets, so pets with health needs are in good hands with me. My dogs were always well trained and well cared for. Because Huxley was reactive around some dogs, Karolina and I became very attentive to reading body language and managing introductions to other animals carefully. I know how to keep every pet in my care feeling safe and comfortable, whether they're social butterflies or a little more cautious. I also keep a close eye on behavioral changes, so if anything seems off, I catch it early. After recently losing our sweet boys, Huxley, and Sam a few years before, I would be heartened to fill our home with the joy of your fur baby.

I would 100% recommend Robert and Karolina to watch your pup. They are the most loving pet parents, they really revolved their lives around their own sweet boys happiness. He has sadly moved on, but they aren’t quite ready to which means that their house and hearts are ready to love on your pup while you are gone. They have everything your pup could want with toys ready to go, dog beds, and a comfortable crate if needed. Plus a secured small yard and great walking trails right outside. They're good people.
Such caring animal lovers! I had the pleasure of staying with Robert and Karolina and seeing how lovingly they cared for their cat, Sam, and dog, Huxley. They were special beings, and I was heartbroken when they passed. Robert and Karolina are attentive, responsible, and loving pet owners. You couldn’t choose a more caring couple to look after your fur babies!
Robert works from home and has built his entire routine around being present for his pets. He used to take his dog on long walks and adventures almost every single day. We get together a lot and the conversations always find a way to our pets and the joy they bring us. He's helped me many times with my pets, when I have had to be away from them and I come home to a very happy house. He's a go-to pet sitter.
Robert watched our mini golden doodle dog and treated him like he was his own. He kept me updated and I enjoyed my vacation knowing he was well cared for. I will have Robert watch/care for Angel the next time we’re away as I feel like our dog is in good hands with him.
Robert and his wife Karolina work from home, which allows them to be super present for walks, feedings, play time and cuddles. I know how much they loved their dog Huxley, and how much joy it will bring them to welcome in your dog for a short visit.
Karolina and Robert loved their dog like a child. I was so sad for them when he passed. THEY WILL CARE FOR YOUR DOG LIKE THEIR OWN. We had 2 big dogs. Karolina and Robert liked to take them for a long walks.

Schedule
My wife, Karolina, and I will be devoted to your pet. We're self-employed and both work from home, so we have flexible schedules built around pets, not the other way around. We can take time throughout the day for potty breaks, walks, feeding, playtime, or just some extra cuddle time. I loved taking my own dog on long daily walks, and we'd often head out for bigger adventures too, like the beach or harbor, local hikes, parks, outdoor malls, wherever he wanted to explore. Or even just a pet friendly restaurant experience. Your pet won't be an afterthought squeezed into our day. They'll be part of it.

Our home is a two-story house with a small, secure fenced yard, and the neighborhood has great walking routes and green common areas, perfect for both quick bathroom breaks and longer walks. Inside, we have a large crate if needed (Huxley just slept in it with the door open), dog beds, water bowls throughout the house and a stash of toys ready to go, so your pet has familiar comforts and a safe space to settle into from day one. There are no other pets or kids living in the home, so your pet will get my full attention. I'm experienced with medication schedules and special diets, and I take introductions and routines seriously to help pets feel settled and comfortable quickly. Whether it's a young, energetic dog or an older pet who needs a little extra care, I'll treat them like they're my own and with no less love than we gave Huxley, which was an embarrassingly great amount of love.
A typical day
Since we work from home, your pet will be part of our everyday routine, not squeezed into it. Mornings usually start with a walk around the neighborhood to take in all the new smells and sounds, followed by plenty of playtime and cuddle breaks throughout the day while I work. I love mixing things up with longer adventures too that require a fun car ride, whether that's dog parks (if your pet likes them), a hike, a trip to a local city park, or an afternoon at the waterfront. If your pet needs a slower pace, I'm just as happy with shorter walks around our neighborhood's green spaces and a relaxed time at home. Whatever the day looks like, your pet will get plenty of attention, exercise, and love from someone who genuinely enjoys their company.

- Since our dog was a bit reactive around other dogs, I've become really attentive to this, so it helps me a lot to know ahead of time how your pet does around other dogs and children. Please also let me know about any bite or aggression history, so I can make sure I'm setting your pet up for a safe, comfortable stay. I'll also want details on feeding schedules, any special diets, and medication routines, along with any triggers or things that tend to stress your pet out or bother them. More importantly, I'd love to know what your pet enjoys most, whether that's a favorite toy, a certain kind of walk, or their go-to way to unwind, so I can make their time with me feel as close to home as possible.
