I work from home and try to stay active, so I am pretty flexible with pet care. I take regular walks and/or jogs outside, so I would’ve around most of the time and they would get regular exercise and attention

A typical day

I get regular exercise with them, so I typically go for at least 3 walks around the neighborhood. I also often go to a nearby lake for a run or walk (depending on the canine company).

Pet care experience

I’ve had dogs my entire life and really appreciate how they enrich my life in multiple ways. I recently lost my beloved Ripley and am opening myself up to some temporary dog companionship to help both myself and others. I am a responsible adult (I have a successful career and a PhD) and I’m also a parent. I work from home for weeks at a time, but I try to maintain an active lifestyle. I try to get 15k steps in every day, which is much easier with dogs around. As a result, I am able to walk dogs that I board multiple times throughout the day. I also enjoy regular jogs around a nearby lake. This is also much easier with a dog. If your dog likes to run, I can take them for 3 mile jogs, which I am currently doing solo. I have a single family home and a fenced yard. I have a screened in 2nd story deck with stairs to the yard. It is a great spot for both humans and canines to relax. It’s fairly private with a wooded area in the back, where squirrels and birds are pretty active during the day. Dogs love it (and so do I). I often had to force Ripley to come inside before bed; she would fall asleep out there and not want to move. I have owned mostly large dogs (100+ lbs), but I have also looked after very small dogs as well. I’m 6’2” and pretty active, so there’s no dog too big for me to handle. I can lift them into the car without trouble if that’s necessary. Just to recap - if you’re looking for a reliable dog lover to look after your pet, whether it be for boarding, day-sitting, walks, or runs (or all of the above), give me a shout. They will definitely enjoy themselves with me.

Here’s a review for Rob: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rob was absolutely wonderful with Teddy and Charlie! It was clear from the moment he met them that he genuinely loves dogs. He kept me updated with photos and messages throughout his time with them, which gave me such peace of mind. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for pups. We’ll definitely be booking Rob again — highly recommend!

Robert was great with Luna! He clearly loves dogs and cares for them like his own, making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. Luna didn’t want to come home!

Robert was fantastic with Odin. From the start, communication was easy and responsive, and he was very flexible with timing which made everything seamless. Odin can be a bit… opinionated (and very attached to his humans), and Robert handled him incredibly well. He clearly understands dogs and was patient, attentive, and engaged the entire time. I really appreciated the consistent updates, photos, and little notes about how Odin was doing, it made a big difference knowing he was settling in and being well cared for. It’s obvious Robert genuinely enjoys having dogs around and integrates them into his day (walks, time outside, just hanging out), which was exactly what Odin needed. His home setup is also great for dogs - safe, comfortable, and with plenty of space to relax and explore. Overall, Odin came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. I would absolutely book with Robert again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive sitter, especially for larger or more active dogs.
