I work full time as a Rapid Response RN with an ICU background, so reliability, communication, and attention to detail are already a huge part of my daily routine. I typically work Monday–Wednesday from 7am–7:30pm, which leaves me available Thursday through Sunday for walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, and more flexible scheduling. Even during my work week, caring for animals is already part of my everyday life with my own dog and cat at home. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that’s going on long walks, keeping pets company, or making sure they stay comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. Because of my healthcare background, I’m very organized, dependable, and comfortable following routines and special care instructions.

About Robert C.
Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are the biggest priorities for me when caring for someone’s pet. I know how important it is to feel confident that your animals are safe, comfortable, and being treated like family while you’re away. In a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible — including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m respectful of both your home and your pet’s comfort level, especially with animals who may be anxious or shy when their owners are gone. In my own home, pets are treated like part of the family with plenty of attention, supervision, and a calm environment. I pay close attention during walks, outdoor time, feeding, and introductions to ensure pets remain safe and stress-free. My background as a Rapid Response/ICU nurse has also made me very observant, dependable, and calm under pressure, which helps me notice changes in behavior, maintain safe environments, and communicate clearly with pet owners throughout their stay or visit.

Pet care experience
I’ve always been the person friends and family trust with their pets because I genuinely love animals and understand that every dog has a different personality and comfort level. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, energy levels, and temperaments, including my own Golden Retriever, Autumn. What sets me apart is my calm, dependable personality and healthcare background as an ICU nurse, which has made me very attentive, patient, and detail-oriented in high-pressure situations. I’m comfortable following detailed routines, administering medications if needed, and paying close attention to safety and behavior changes. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or just a calm companion while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for like family.

Reviews
I am honored to recommend Robert for a position with Rover. He is one of the kindest and most responsible people I know, and his love for animals is immediately obvious to anyone who sees him interact with pets. Robert is patient, dependable, and genuinely caring, always making sure animals feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing, or simply giving pets attention and affection, he has a natural ability to connect with them. Animals seem to trust him instantly. In addition to being amazing with pets, Robert also has a medical background, which gives him an extra level of awareness and calmness in stressful situations. In the event of an emergency, he is able to stay composed, think quickly, and respond responsibly. This makes him especially trustworthy when caring for beloved pets and provides additional peace of mind for pet owners. Robert is extremely reliable, communicative, and dedicated in everything he does. He takes commitments seriously and always goes above and beyond. I would feel completely confident leaving my own pets in his care. Any family or pet owner would be lucky to have someone as compassionate, responsible, and capable as Robert caring for their animals.
Robert is an amazing caretaker for pets. He has shown so much love and care towards his cats, ferrets, and now his baby dog girl Autumn—he is very attuned to when one of them isn’t feeling well and goes above and beyond to both pamper them but also train them, which can be a hard balance. Robert has been around all of my pets and treats them as if they were his own.
Robert is the perfect fit to help take care of your fur baby! He is very compassionate, loving, and trustworthy. He will treat your fur baby as his own and make sure they are well cared for! Not to mention he’s very detailed oriented and will ensure your pets the best care.
