I am available for walks or drop-ins: Sunday-Wednesday before 2pm, Thursday & Friday all day, and Saturday after 3pm. I can also swing by after work at about 11:30p if needed and close to town.

I have a fenced yard with 2 friendly dogs and 2 kids(8&9 years old who will not come in contact without your expressed permission and would never be left alone with them), I will care for your pets and house as attentively and lovingly as I care for my own home and pets. I am a home owner with two kids in a local school, so I am deeply rooted in Durango. I care deeply for pets and prefer their company over the company of most people. I am working on getting certified in pet first aid, but I currently have an app that can be used as a quick guide with videos in an emergency that was put out by the Red Cross.

Let me know any details of extra care as desired(such as medication administration). Please let me know of any concerns you may have about how your pet might act while you’re away(i.e. aggression, escape artist, destruction enthusiast, separation anxiety) so that I can plan accordingly. I would love to start with a meet and greet before planned care, so please let me know if you are open to that!
A typical day
I will do my best to fit a schedule that your pet is used to. I will happily walk, play, hike, swim, chill with your pet as seems appropriate to your pet’s needs/abilities/desires will allow.

I have always had at least 1 dog in my home and cared for many of my neighbor’s/friend’s/family member’s pets. In the course of that care I have administered medication, raised puppies, taken care of up to 5 dogs at one time, cared for elderly pets, helped pets with disabilities, and overall taken care of all the extra work that comes with being a pet caregiver. I have yet to meet a pet that I didn’t love. I have been my children’s stay-at-home parent for the last 9 years, so I have a great deal of experience as a caretaker in general and I have raised them to always be kind and respectful to all animals.

Hello, Robert has been great and taken really good care of our critters. He goes the extra mile to pet and spend time with our dogs. He’s been very accommodating with my constantly changing schedule. Highly recommended to do a great job caring for your fur babies!
I have used Robert to watch and walk my two dogs Stella and Chunk many times. He is always responsive and keeps me updated on how they’re doing. He is great with my dogs and they are always happy to see him coming.
