Dogs Best Friend

Walking is just the beginning. Dog owners love me for my patience and the results I get from training their dogs. Dogs love me because I communicate with an understanding of their language and culture. I have dog trainer instructor credentials and I'm a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. My "active dog" approach to training and care begins with the belief that balanced dog behavior begins with a physically and mentally exhausted dog. Combine this with my fun and unique training experiences and you have the blueprint for creating the more calm, responsive and obedient dog of your dreams. I'm typically available from 6-11am, Monday through Friday and on Sundays from 7am-9pm. I'm looking forward to meeting and training with you and your pup.

We used Robbie again to watch Otis, and once again he did a fantastic job. As a returning customer, I can say the consistency is what stands out most. Otis came home well exercised, calm, and even more obedient than before. It’s clear Robbie puts real care and attention into every stay. Highly recommend Robbie if you’re looking for a safe, caring place for your dog. Thanks again Robbie!

Robbie was great! Took great care of my dog and gave me a well rounded review of my dogs experience with him. He is exceptional and knows how to read and work with the dog during the stay. Would definitely recommend and use him again in the future!

Robbie was fantastic with Otis for the full week! He was communicative throughout the stay, sending updates that put our minds at ease while we were away. He was also great with training, reinforcing the habits we work on with Otis rather than letting them slide. Most of all, it was clear Otis was happy and well cared for the whole time, tired out from good exercise and clearly comfortable in Robbie’s care. We’d book with him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter who genuinely cares.

Robbie is professional and really took the time for a meet&greet. We felt confident leaving our conditionally reactive 85lb German shepherd with him, even though he was taking care of other dogs as well.

Robbie was amazing with our Benni, who came from a shelter and doesn’t sleep in crates. He surprised us when he stayed with Robbie because he did so many things we didn’t know he could. A huge plus that Robbie is a seasoned dog trainer and knows how to handle all types of dogs. Thanks, Robbie!

Robbie did a wonderful job with our highly energetic boy. He has a structure and cares to meet your dogs needs (running, playing, training, etc)! We will definitely book with him if we ever need a pet sitter that our dog can stay and feel safe and secure!

Schedule

I love doing what I do. I study behavior while applying and sharpening dog training principles all day, every day. I currently solve many dog behavior problems by training and walking several dogs a day. My nights are filled with meetups and assessments.

Safety, trust & environment

Depending on the services booked, every dog is created in my home. When is their time, they spend at a couple hours at a time, doing at least a walk and some training & play (if they're a training client) before eating. The goal is exercise twice a day. My townhouse complex and surrounding community provides many different ways to keep your dog exhausted.

A typical day

Tired dogs are usually healthier and more compliant dogs. The best way that to get to know a dog is through walking, running, rucking and being goofy with various play activities depending on their abilities. If they're fearful, that disappears and if they're stubborn, they learn who's in charge and that also disappears. It's like magic!

Just be honest about EVERYTHING you tell me about your dog. If not, your dog will eventually spill the beans about everything I need to know, both positive and negative. After the introduction and one walk, I'll have the whole story understood.
