Since moving to Toronto, I’ve continued caring for pets in both Toronto and Montreal, helping owners with reliable sitting, walks, and companionship while they’re away. Riya was great with my (orange) cats Cashew and Chowder! She sent tons of photos and a thorough update, it was lovely to work with her and would recommend hiring her!
Riya was great with my dog, and was very accommodating! Komugi was distressed when I had to be out of town for a while, but she managed to calm her down and provided me with lots of updates everyday
I have a curious but timid cat who Is scared of dogs and other cats. Our sitter who comes to the house had to cancel last minute and Riya was able to take her. My cat slowly warmed up thanks to Riya’s gentle manner and quiet home (with some nice hiding spots). Thank you!
Priya was wonderful and took great care of our dog Ozzy for the day! She was very attentive and thoughtful about his needs and preferences (even just for a few hour stay). He will be back for sure!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day, whether that’s feeding, playtime, walks, litter box cleaning, or simply keeping them company. I’m able to adjust my schedule around a pet’s routine and make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and never rushed. I also enjoy spending quiet time with animals, so providing attentive and reliable care is something I genuinely look forward to each week.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, litter box maintenance, playtime, and any special care needs. I make sure pets feel comfortable in their own environment by moving at their pace, especially with cats, who often need patience and calm energy to warm up. I keep the home clean and respected at all times, especially around feeding areas and litter boxes, and I’m attentive to details like fresh water, tidy spaces, and making sure doors and windows are secure. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for while they’re away.
A typical day
I like to tailor activities to each pet’s personality, age, and energy level! Some fun things I typically do include: * Walks around the neighborhood or park adventures * Fetch, tug-of-war, and interactive toys * Cuddle and relaxation time for pets who love attention * Basic training reinforcement with treats and praise * Puzzle toys and enrichment games to keep them mentally stimulated * Outdoor playtime for active dogs * Gentle play and wand toys for cats * Photo updates so owners can see their pets having fun For senior or shy pets, I keep things calm and comforting with slow walks, quiet companionship, and lots of patience. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away.
