I'm a part time receptionist and tech at a vet clinic during the week, so pet sitting sessions will come before or after work on the days that I am in. I can stay with your pet at nights, head to work, and return straight to your home after. My weekends are typically open, barring any emergencies or trips, but I am good about updating my calendar.

I am very flexible. If you need me to stay in your home with your pet, I can, I will just need to leave for work or other commitments during the day. I will not overbook myself or put your pet's well-being aside for spontaneous plans, as their care is my first priority.

I am incredibly flexible and accommodating, so please let me know of anything your pet needs or preferences you may have around location, what I wear, toys/treats/food sensitivities. I know some animals can be picky and weary around new people, so I am also happy to come meet your pet ahead of time so they can feel more comfortable around me.
A typical day
I absolutely love keeping dogs busy and tiring them out. I also love exploring the city. Depending on the area, we could go to the lake or explore a dog park if your pet loves that! Safety, however, is my first priority, so I am always going to avoid crossing large, busy roads and will always check in about your pet's preferences! As for cats, they all have such different personalities and desires. I love cuddling on the couch and watching a show, or I am more than happy to play with them or just exist in the same space if that is what they prefer.

Pet care experience
I can't remember a time in my life where I haven't owned a dog or a cat. Many of our friends and family asked for me to watch or walk their dogs when I was a kid. Five years ago, I started a job at a pet store, so my animal care really dove deep as I learned to care for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to fish and reptiles. I now work as a vet tech assistant and receptionist for a vet clinic in Madison! No condition will scare me off. I love all types of pets, big and small, and I will ensure that any animal put into my care is treated just like family.

River did an excellent job watching our three cats! River was dealing with some family things & had to change the booking last-minute but was so communicative & helpful in working out a contingency plan, which was GREATLY appreciated. Would happily recommend!
River was an exemplary cat and house sitter! We received the perfect amount of detailed updates and pictures to give us peace of mind, but still enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be rebooking with River in the future.
