All fur babies welcome!
Experienced pet sitter here! I have over 5 years of experience sitting for a variety of pets of all breeds and ages, including elderly, special needs, pups and kittens, and anxious pets. This is in addition to growing up in a family that could never turn away a rescue! With so much experience with rescues, I now specialize in anxious pets and those with special medical needs. I have just the gentle and patient nature needed to put any pet at ease, and I understand how to respect the boundaries of aloof and nervous animals. I do mean it when I say ALL fur babies are welcome. There is not a type of temperament, energy level, or level of medical need that I am inexperienced with. Now, I have my own two rescues: a sweet pittie and nervous kitty who have made massive progress in their fears and anxiety since I took them in 4 years ago. We can't send our pets to therapy like we can humans, but we can give them a safe and loving environment. It's amazing what that can do for any animal!

Safety, trust & environment
My top priority is making pets feel safe and loved! I am adept at reading body language in both dogs and cats, and I will follow their lead with what they are comfortable with, whether that means high energy play time, cuddle time and, or if they'd prefer to say hi from a distance (like some kitties, especially). All animals have their own boundaries, and I find if I respect those, they feel safer to come out of their shell and be more playful and affectionate.

River and Jax are now buddies and I appreciate the patience and care he showed Jax. Jax tends to have his own ideas of who and when to bark but River's kindness and training is helping Jax a great deal. I'm grateful I decided to sign on. When I return from a trip I will be scheduling River on a regular basis and I trust that we'll work together with Jax! Thank you, River, for your exceptional care!!!

Schedule
Right now, I teach gradeschool students part-time at an afterschool program. This means my evenings Tues-Fri are booked, but I am available for daytime walks, drop-ins, and weekend housesitting. Housesitting outside of my normal availability may be considered on an individual basis, with repeat customers taking priority.
