The Pet Nana
My first pet as a young girl was a white long-haired cat named “Puff”. Since then I’ve never been without pets in my life. While living overseas I managed to rescue a poorly treated, very large Rottweiler named “Tiny”. We found a loving family for Tiny before returning to the U.S. Living in northern New Mexico for several years, I adopted dogs, cats and two horses. A menagerie of fur pets to care for and love. I also volunteered at the Humane Society and Equine Sanctuary. During my time in Ohio I worked for the New Albany Dog Walking Company as a dog walker and pet sitter. I recently moved from Spokane, WA where I was fortunate to care for two dachshunds long term along with many drop in visits through Rover. Currently, I reside in Norman with my son and family.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
My priority is your pets safety and comfort at all times, along with lots of play and snuggles. I’ll provide daily exercise as needed and keep pet areas clean and free of contaminates. Mealtime will be prepared according to special instructions for your individual pet. Also available for visits to vet appointments when needed.

Rita takes such great care of our kitties! She provides regular updates and pictures, which are much appreciated when we're gone.
Rita was so amazing with our three cats! She sent amazing updates and pictures and I could tell they were very loved and cared for. One of our cats has diabetes and it was such a relief knowing he was well taken care of. We will definitely be asking Rita to help out with our kitties some more :)
Rita did a fantastic job housesitting for 11 days with our dachshunds! She was extremely reliable, always showed up exactly on time, and consistently provided excellent communication and feedback. We were comforted during our trip by her constant text updates, anecdotes, and photos of the dogs. It was apparent that our dogs love Rita and were thrilled to spend time with her. She treated us, our pets, and our home with great care and respect. I am so grateful to have found her to sit with our dogs and will definitely be booking her in the future!

As a senior with a flexible schedule—week days and weekends, I now have the time to focus on the enjoyment of caring for your small dog and/or cat while treating them with the respect and love they deserve.
