As a dog owner for over 25 years, I understand the difficulties dog owners face when / if they need to leave their poppets. I have never been able to leave any of ours at kennels as they love their home sofa / bed snuggle (not forgetting a nice pillow!); which is why I decided to open my home to others’ poppets. I am home all day and can look after your poppet 24/7. My husband is home in the evening / weekends. I offer a loving family home where your poppet will become one of us, a true family member. I have experience looking after a variety of dogs of all ages, am Canine First Aid trained, and DBS checked. In most circumstances, I can take poorly poppets, including administering medication, as long as under veterinary care. Our new home has a nice, fenced garden for regular toilet breaks and play, and I provide a range of enrichment activities, and daily walks (park, beach and/or countryside). As we a have a senior poppet (Labrador), I aim to only take one (max 2) poppet/household at a time. This way, they get my full attention and do not feel overwhelmed by others. I encourage a meet & greet, and that your poppet comes to ours with any blankets / favourite toys / others they prefer, and which will carry their home sense with them. We are so happy we have found Rita after moving into the area. Our dog Emi is treated like one of her own and I love having the peace of mind that she is being well looked after. Rita provides regular updates and was excellent caring for our dog at the tail end of recovering from a stomach upset. Rita was happy to monitor her a little more closely & feed a special diet. Would recommend Rita to anyone.

First time we have used Rita and we have been blown away by the care she gave our dog. Ted went to stay with Rita for a one night stay. We were slightly apprehensive as Ted is a shy and nervous dog. We need not to have worried as Rita gave us plenty of updates, photos and videos. Ted was also fussy with the treats so Rita went out of her way and went and got him treats that he would eat. Truly a 5 star service and already booked in for future visits.

Schedule
Our house is in a calm, dog-friendly neighbourhood, just around the corner from Northbrook Recreation Ground, close to Highdown Hill, and with Goring Green just some minutes' away. I am home all day and offer boarding 7 days a week, including weekends, bank holidays and festive periods.

Dogs can be assigned own room if necessary but are encouraged to socially interact with ours and others (as per own's routine and habits). Fenced garden for regular toilet breaks and play. Security gates available if needed. Locked front door.

I love to stimulate your dogs physically and mentally. I will play loads of games and encourage a variety of enrichment activities indoors and outdoors.
