Animals have always stuck out to me. Dogs specifically have been a shoulder to cry on and a warm furry pillow to rest my head on and over the years I’ve learned so many things about them. I’ve always found companionship with any animal whether or not they’ve personally been mines or someone else’s. Dogs specifically have changed the way I treat other animals, people, and have given me a new perspective on life. I plan to have a very big family and it includes multiple kinds of dogs. I treat all animals with respect and love. I do not love anything the way that I love dogs. If you’re looking for a sitter with a great personality and a loving spirit for all four legged things- I’m your girl.

Rissa was amazing with my pup. As a first time dog mom it’s always hard to leave him behind. She welcomed me in her home and let me settle him in and so friendly she eased my mind. She was communicative, flexible and able to accommodate my last minute request. It’s great to have an option to travel with my pup while visiting UI.
Rissa was a life saver when I needed last minute day care for two days when I came from out of town for a funeral. My Maltipoo was exhausted when I picked him up both days, which was amazing. I rarely can get him that tuckered out! She was so sweet, too. I would definitely look to book with her again next time I’m in Iowa City.
Rissa took good care of my girl. She was able to accommodate a last minute daycare request, was flexible, communicative, and friendly. I’d have her watch my dog again
Rissa was AMAZING! We had a last minute booking with her, and she took our doggos in with such willingness and readiness. Great communication, even better care, and my dogs left her home seeming like they had stayed over at our family or friends whom they’re already accustomed too. If we ever get the chance again, we would love to use Rissa again!
Rissa kept me well-informed and paid close attention to all of my dog's needs. I would like to have Rissa take care of her again when we need a loving person to take care of her.
Marissa is such a gentle caring person regarding all life. She loves animals and to care for them. She acts as if she knows how to interpret every action the animals make. She cares about the emotional and physical well beings of dogs. She always trys to insert herself in their behaviors to understand how they feel. She is a protector and lovers of dogs of all breads.

I have a spacious home and living area and my neighborhood has plenty of dog friendly activities. I have a 4 year old who is a friend to all and he will be sure to keep your dog company as well!
A typical day
I love to stimulate animals mentally and physically. Your pup and I will go for walks. We will spend a great amount of time outside with physical activity and we’ll explore a park near my home!
