Riley can care for
Availability
I currently work part/full time, mostly weekdays with a break in between as well as taking classes, all of which are online for the summer, but am typically very flexible for things such as walks and play time. My goal is to make sure all dogs I sit get at least one hour of playtime a day, obviously adjusted for energy level. I am also available to do overnight care for more senior dogs or dogs that need medications at specific times, as well as dogs that do better having someone in the home.

Safety, trust & environment
My biggest rule when I do overnights is to make sure the house is completely secure before I go to sleep. Your pets safety is my number one priority . I have been trained by my job on how to handle multiple pet emergencies, including seizures, overheating and injuries. As someone who has owned and worked with dogs dealing with joint problems, I make sure to prevent any falls or accidents by keeping the dog in safe areas as well as monitoring activity.
Information Riley K. would like to know about your pet
I always like to know if a pet has any specific needs, whether it be medical, behavioral, or even just needing a certain amount of potty breaks. I make my schedule around the individual needs of your dog so that they can have a safe and happy experience.
A typical day
I love to be active with dogs! Whether it’s going for a long walk around the neighborhood or finding a park or trail nearby, I love having dogs be active. As someone who frequently works with working dogs, including herding breed and K9’s, I understand how important it is to work these high energy dogs and make sure they get the exercise they need, both physically and mentally. I also appreciate that dogs, like people, need activities to calm down and work to do indoor, low-stimulation activities as well. One of my favorites that I have learned through work is having anxious dogs watch Bluey as a distraction.

Pre- Vet student looking to help!
Pet care experience
Aside from pet sitting since I was 16, I have two years of shelter work and two years as a vet assistant where I have administered medications, been on seizure watch with epileptic patients, helped deliver puppies and also worked with dogs who had behavioral issues due to rough pasts. I also have helped take care of very elderly and senior dogs and understand the time and care they need, as well as helping with dogs going through their first heat cycle.
Cat care experience

Riley also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
Riley did an amazing job with our three babies, I would certainly recommend her and will be certain to be reaching out to her again to watch our babies!!

Riley was awesome! She came over a few days before to get the lay of the land and attempt to meet my cat (she hid and I still have no idea where she was hiding). Suzie did eventually warm up to Riley and even sat in the same room as her! I will be using Riley again!

Riley was pretty responsive and did the rover cards, but I am unsure if she was telling the truth about visiting one night that there was no rover card. There might have been a miscommunication about taking my dog out when it was storming, but it felt like I had to push her to let my dog pee really quick and I am not 100% sure she actually ended up taking him out. She sent one picture with each rover card, no note, and the visits lasted for exactly 30 minutes every time. She did not map the dog walks and could have been a bit more communicative.

Riley was great!! I recommend her to help you with your pet needs! She was great with feeding and medication administration and everything else with my Schweet babe needed!
