A typical day

A typical day with your pet is all about keeping them happy, active, and feeling loved! I always start the day with some playtime or a walk to get their energy going—whether it's a game of fetch, a fun tug-of-war session, or a peaceful stroll around the neighborhood (tail wags guaranteed!). Throughout the day, I make sure to follow their usual routine, including feeding times, potty breaks, and any medications if needed. I love incorporating mentally stimulating games like puzzle toys, treat hide-and-seek, or learning new tricks to keep their minds sharp. If your pet enjoys the outdoors, we’ll spend time exploring safe, pet-friendly areas or just lounging in the sun. For cuddle bugs, there’s plenty of belly rubs, cozy naps, and quality one-on-one time. I always tailor activities to your pet’s personality, age, and energy level—whether they’re playful pups or chill senior companions. My goal is to make your pet feel right at home and ensure they’re getting all the love and attention they deserve!

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Riley! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, bunnies, and even lizards. Whether it’s a high energy puppy, a senior pet who needs extra TLC, or an anxious animal who needs a gentle approach, I’m here to help your pet feel safe, calm, and cared for. I grew up volunteering at animal shelters in Frederick and Montgomery County, where I learned how unique every animal is and the importance of meeting them where they are. I currently work as a Pre-K teacher, which has strengthened my patience, reliability, and nurturing approach skills I bring into every pet I care for. At home, I have large dogs of my own, so I’m very comfortable handling bigger breeds and strong pullers on walks. I currently offer drop in visits and dog walking, and I’m happy to customize care based on your pet’s routine, energy level, and special needs. I’m available weekdays and weekends and can be flexible to fit your schedule. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a midday walk, or some extra companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them like one of my own. I’d love to set up a meet and greet and get to know you and your furry family!

I can’t say enough great things about Riley! From the very first meet-and-greet, she was kind, professional, and clearly experienced with animals. She took the time to get to know my dog and cats personality, routine, and quirks, which gave me complete peace of mind. During the stay/walks, Riley sent regular updates and adorable photos that made me feel totally connected while I was away. My pup came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s such a relief to know I have someone I can trust with my dog when I need help. If you’re looking for a reliable, loving, and attentive sitter/walker, I 100% recommend Riley. I’ll definitely be booking again!
