This is currently my main job so pet care will be most of my daily routine. Most days I have pet sittings and drop ins and walks during the day.

Safety, trust & environment
I want to follow pet parents instructions to the best of my ability. That includes any food/treat specifications, harness/collar/leash preferences, crating, training methods, or potential emergency/vet procedures. Ultimately you know what’s best for your baby and I plan to follow your guidelines. I am well practiced in crating and walking dogs and have never had an escape on my watch and I don’t intend to let that happen. I am always vigilant on walks to make sure your pet stays safe and does not get into anything they shouldn’t. Your pet’s health and safety is my number 1 priority while they are in my care.
Information Riley F. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know how long the pet can be left alone during the day as well as any medications/special needs. There may be a small extra charge for this that will depend on the level of needs.
A typical day
I love to take the dogs on walks around their neighborhood and if there is a park close by I can take them there! I also like to give puzzle toys/kongs/licky mats to keep them entertained.

Pet care experience
Animals have been my passion ever since I was old enough to talk. We got our first family dog Baxter (a beagle/hound mix) when I was around 7 years old and I helped take care of him his entire life. As I got older I took on more of this responsibility; overseeing his vet visits and end of life care as his health declined with age. I spent my teenage years volunteering at the Boston Museum of Science live animal center. This included the feeding and cage maintenance of dozens of different animals so I am well versed in exotics. I spent 5 years working as a certified dog trainer at a major pet retailer. I have trained dogs of all ages from puppy to senior and a wide range of breeds. This mostly consisted of learning basic commands, leash manners, socialization, and teaching the pet parent important training methods to use at home. During this time I helped fit hundreds of squirmy puppies (and older, sometimes anxious dogs) for a harness so I am more than confident in my ability to harness and walk your dog safely. I left the company to pursue a more personal, one on one relationship with pets and their owners. Nowadays I spend my free time caring for my cat Minerva and unfortunately cannot have a dog in my home as she is fearful of them and she is my first priority. All I’ve wanted in life is to be around animals and be part of protecting and caring for them. I hope you will see me as a good fit to care for your pet and I will do my best to exceed expectations.
Reviews

Riley was excellent!

Riley is kind, knowledgeable about animals and communicative. I would recommend her wholeheartedly.

We love Riley! She’s an excellent communicator and takes great care of our cats.

My partner and I recently moved to a new neighborhood and decided to try Rover for the first time to meet new petsitters. Riley came over to meet our cat Lenny and was very kind and present. She responded quickly to any questions leading up to the visit. While we were away, Riley checked in during/after each visit, sharing updates and photos. We're looking forward to booking with Riley again!
