I work part time as an EA during the school year and am studying at Capilano University in Squamish to become a teacher. I have a very flexible schedule and the means to travel to do drop ins.

I have many years of experience caring for dogs and I love to make them feel calm and happy. I really care about safety and stress management, so I prefer to walk dogs on leash (or a long line) and I usually bring a clicker and a treats so we can build up some positive behaviour.

A typical day
I LOVED being a professional dog trainer and I would love to stretch my trainer legs again, so if I take your dog on a walk, we will do clicker training, loose leash walking, fetch/play, enrichment, tug, exercise, you name it! I love making videos and taking great pictures on walks.

Pet care experience
I had a successful positive reinforcement dog training business in Vancouver for several years and now I live in Squamish. I held a CPDT-KA certification which I opted not to renew last year because I no longer teach classes. My own dog is 15 years old and can no longer enjoy a long trail walk with me, so I would like to help other dog owners meet their dogs’ needs. I am also certified in Pet First Aid.

Rileigh is a fantastic, trustworthy house and pet sitter who cared really well for our animals. She clearly loves dogs and cats, which made us feel very comfortable leaving our animal babies in her care. She is also a great communicator.
