Animals, primarily dogs, have been a part of my life and responsibility since childhood. I have always had an affinity for animals and likewise in return. I have boarded many of my friend's pets over the years and even friends of friend's pets. I have taken care of animals up to three weeks and it has been an incredible experience every time. Recently, I've been lucky enough to care for a camel, some donkeys, chickens, pigs and goats! So I am very comfortable around all types and understand their behaviors well.

I do not believe in punishments of any kind, only corrections, and I prefer those to be audible only. I have taken a hybrid approach combining popular methods from established dog trainers. I always ensure pets in my care have plenty of water and only treats between meal times. I, of course, will respect any preference you wish your pet to have. It is important to maintain the behavior of the house, so I would not take any actions that are unfamiliar to the home that the pet is used to. I believe in and live the Army values I learned during my time with the Army. I'd love the chance to communicate and get an understanding of what you and your pets needs are. I'm normally nervous about leaving my dogs with anyone for an extended period of time but our experience with Ricky was wonderful! Our boys were of course excited when we returned but they didn't have the same stressed look on their faces when we normally arrive home. Both appeared comfortable in all of the photos we received, and it was great knowing they were in good hands. We definitely plan to check back in with him for future trips!
My 14 month old border collie mix is a terrorist and Ricky managed his craziness perfectly. Many thanks for your excellent care!
Ricky is a perfect dogsitter. I came home after several days and my two dogs were relaxed and happy and the puppy hadn't destroyed the house. I plan to use Ricky again and my neighbor asked how to book him because she was impressed with him too. Thanks Ricky!
This was our first experience with Rover. Wasn't sure what to expect, but Ricky exceeded either way! We usually board our dog but will definitely reach out on our next trip out of town. He gave our pup the perfect amount of attention & provided reviews of each visit/day; as well as pictures/videos. Thanks Ricky! See ya soon!

Schedule
I am a veteran working on starting a non-profit growing food for vets like me that need it to rehabilitate back towards good health. I absolutely love caring for animals and have been exposed to many kinds over the years so I enjoy taking time to care for those in need. My schedule is open to all kinds of stays. I may be able to do short notice, just send me a message and I will always respond.

- If your animal has an issue with males please let me know, but don't be discouraged. I'm usually able to warm up to a pet fairly quickly, good vibes and all. I respect the pet's space as much as your own. I do not have a problem reading an animal's behavior and understanding when it is not a good time to continue and if need be cancel the potential service. Thank you for your understanding.
