WARNING: Your dog will fall in love
I like taking care of the special needs dogs. If they get afraid of thunderstorm; I'll be there to let them know it's ok. If they are senior and have a hard time walking; I will be patient and understand they may make messes in the home that I have to clean up. If they have medication that is needed daily; no up charge here to make sure they get the care needed. I essentially will be your surrogate while you are away and love up on your furkid they way you would. I also enjoy doing some basic training if needed like helping with walking on a leash, giving boundaries (ex. teaching to not go behind the island for an open kitchen) waiting for their food when served and waiting to be told it's ok to run out the door after it's open.

Richette was a wonderful caregiver for our 14year old dog, Penny. She provided lots of upates and photos of Penny's stay and was careful to follow our instructions for feeding and giving meds. Penny was calm and happy at pick up. Will definitely use Richette again in the future.
RJ was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. She took great care of our pup and worked well with our schedule. If we’re in the area again, we would definitely call her again. Thank you so much.
RJ was fantastic with our dog. She listened to his needs and unique quirks. She showed genuine care for him, treating him as if he were her own. She even sewed his beloved toy back together, ensuring he could enjoy it for a longer time. Throughout our long hours, she remained in constant contact and was flexible. We truly appreciate her exceptional care and will definitely book her services again when we visit town next time.
I was anxious about leaving my dog with someone on rover but Richette was able to ease the anxiety with sending daily updates and pictures. I would rebook her in the future.
Richette is the best. I have booked with her many times and she is very trust worthy and reliable. I know Skye is in good hands when staying with Richette. She is also very flexible when it comes to drop off/pick up times. My favorite sitter.
Pretzel seemed happy when we pick him up. However, this was our second time having Richette care for Pretzel, and it wasn’t nearly as great as the first time. We felt like the communication lacked from drop off to pick up. At drop-off, we were told for the first time that Richette had a sprained ankle (from 3 weeks prior), and that she was concerned about managing Pretzel due to his size and reactivity. During his stay, I was the one to check in first and request for an update. And during pick up, the conversation felt a little judgmental about how I care for my pet even when I have explained some of Pretzel’s needs in great detail before.. Not sure I plan to rebook Pretzel for her care a third time..

Schedule
I care off and on for my friends furkids. I even fly to other locations to sit for them. I'm open Thursdays-Mondays as I work from home the end and beginning of the week and off weekends. I can be available for the full week with some compromises that we would have to discuss before hand and with advance notice.

I'm insured and USDA certified to transport animals. I have been CPR certified in the past but it's expired currently; I'm going to renew it soon.

Of course they will get one on one play time with me, if permitted I love to take pups on a walk around the neighborhood.

- Let me know if your furkid has any special needs to better take care of them. No detail is too small. My girl didn't like plastic bags which may not seem like a big deal bet it made a difference in her life for me not to dangle bags when I had her on leash.
