Absolutely loves dogs, lots of care experience
Having owned a number of dogs over the last 20 years I have great experience with them at any age including puppy training and the more senior citizens! I have trained 3 of my previous dogs to be game pickers so can handle highly energised spaniels/ labs. Our rescue spaniel (Moo) is 3 years old and excellent company on walks and play time.

Would highly recommend Richard. Both he and his gorgeous Springer Moo were incredibly welcoming and calm with our 2-year-old Border Terrier, Fergus during an initial intro visit - so it felt easy to leave him in very good hands for a week away. Could tell, via messages and photo updates during the week, that he was being treated as 'one of the family', with wonderful walks and just 'chilling out' in hot weather. Fergus's first time away from home without us, therefore grateful this was a positive experience for him. No signs of stress at any point ... nothing but excitement and a wagging tail!
From being really worried about leaving my dogs with a relative stranger to being so pleased with how well they were looked after, Richard was brilliant. They’ve been so well looked after, home from home with lots of walks. We came home to totally relaxed and calm, even our needy spaniel who was so relaxed and who has fallen for Richards beautiful dog Moo. Will definitely be asking him to look after our dogs again, thank you Richard.
We left our dog Gaucho with Richard while we were on holiday, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Richard maintained excellent communication throughout, always responding promptly to our messages, which gave us great peace of mind. It’s clear that Richard genuinely loves dogs, and Gaucho was very happy staying with him. He also kept us updated with messages and photos during the stay, which was incredibly reassuring. We would highly recommend Richard to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter, and we will definitely be leaving Gaucho with him again in the future.
Basil had such a nice time with Richard and family. When we picked Basil up, he was clearly happy and very tired from lots of walking and playing, thank you so much!

Schedule
I mainly work from home and as a contractor I can set my own work timetable making dog care a priority. My spaniel and I normally go out for a walk early in the morning and later in the day but this can change to suit other dogs needs.

Safety, trust & environment
We benefit from a fully fenced garden which is large enough for playtime and general toilet breaks. I work from the dining room where my spaniel's bed is and there is ample sofa room in the sitting room for snoozing! My dogs re-call is good but am also very happy to walk her on a long line/ lead.
