Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard and can easily crate your pet if needed. I have one pet friendly dog at home if your pet likes company. I do not have any children living at my home.

Information Richard N. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet has special needs or active behaviors that I should be aware of to include water preferences or typical on-leash behavior.

A typical day

I think it is important for pets to get physical and mental stimulus during the day. I will toss balls or frisbee if that's what they like. I do like including both play time and learning time during each day/visit. You can choose an activity and/or training point or I can provide suggestions. Sit, come, place, down, off, leave it are some basic commands. I am not a trainer in any sense but I am committed to physical and mental activity if that is desired for your pet.

Pet care experience

I've been around dogs all my life. My grandparents were breeders for Scotties, Cocker Spaniels and Terriers. My personal pets have been Velvet a cooker spaniel, Tobby a shepherd/lab mix, Doobee a shepherd/collie mix and my current cohort is Harley a 50 lb mixed breed rescue from texas. I have completed over 18 months of weekly training with Harley culminating with AKC canine good citizen certificate. What i learned from that experience was the importance and significance of consistency. Additionally that I am trained to be as consistent as possible in providing the type of care that you prefer for your pet.
