Calm One-to-One Dog Walks & Pet Care in Herne Bay
I’m particularly suited to dogs who enjoy a slower pace, gentle walks, and individualised attention. Hi, I’m Rich — the person behind Pickle’s Pooch Care. I offer calm, one-to-one dog walks and pet sitting in Herne Bay, with a focus on gentle handling, trust, and companionship. I don’t offer group walks, as I believe many dogs benefit from a quieter, more individual approach. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs through regular dog walking and pet sitting, including ongoing work with repeat clients. I take time to understand each dog’s routines, comfort levels, and personality, and I’m particularly comfortable working with dogs who benefit from a calm, patient presence. I always aim to provide reliable, attentive care and to make sure each dog feels safe, settled, and well looked after while in my care. I’m happy to administer routine oral medication where dogs are comfortable and familiar with the process. I’m also available for private bookings outside Rover — please feel free to ask for details.

Winston loves his walks with Richard. He’s an anxious young dog with a high prey drive but Richard is calm and patient, but firm, which helps Winston relax.
Richard is calm, reliable and friendly, and great with the dogs. My two rescues have been with me eight months and one is still a bit nervous/reactive, but Richard helps him to be relaxed and confident.
Richard is great with my two rescue dogs, Peggy and Winston. They’re still settling in and Winston can be nervous in new situations, but have very quickly settled with Richard. He’s friendly and reliable, and accommodating at short notice. Highly recommended.

I've known Rich for years and he's the most kind, honest and caring guy. Rich first met my dog a few years ago and quickly became good pals with him! My dog loves him and Rich has followed my instructions perfectly regarding my dog's food, walking and training (not letting my dog jump up, sit for a treat etc.) Rich is really personable, attentive and he definitely has a passion for helping others and caring for animals, especially dogs!
Richard is amazing with dogs! He cares for mine as if they were his own and I never worry about them when they are in his care! He loves dogs of all shapes and sizes! A real dog lover!

Schedule
I currently offer dog walking and pet sitting around a regular weekday schedule, with availability in the mornings and afternoons. I aim to be flexible where possible and am happy to discuss ongoing or repeat arrangements.
