I'm currently writing-up my PhD so love hiking in the Peak District with Dexter (and giving him opportunities to swim) every few days, so high energy dogs in need of long walks are welcome.

Pet care experience
Your dog will be in experienced hands: I trained our pet Spaniel when I was a teenager and have had my own cats and dog ever since. My own Labrador, Dexter, will keep your dog company during their stay. I toilet and crate-trained him from twelve-weeks old, and since then taught him off-lead recall and on-lead courtesy (less pulling). Dogs hosted so far have joined me on day trips by train to other cities and come out in the Peak District with Dexter to enjoy nature hiking. To ensure the best experience and compatibility, we'll do a meet-and-greet between Dexter and your own dog, to make sure your dog's stay maximally enjoyable.

Quinn really felt like home at Richard's. He was well looked, took on water adventures and hikes. Most importantly, Richard accommodated Quinn when our stay was extended due to a death in the family. For which we are eternally grateful to Richard.
Richard responded promptly to a last minute booking to look after Bamboo . First we met for a meet and greet and he immediately impressed me with his relaxed and friendly manner towards me and Bamboo. I dropped Bamboo off at the agreed time which was an early start but no problem for Richard. He communicated well throughout Bamboos stay with pictures and videos of what they were getting up too. Bamboo came back a very happy boy and had even been given a bath! I would not hesitate to use Richard’s services again. To Richard, thankyou so much for helping us by looking after bamboo, it meant we could have a much needed holiday abroad with family we haven’t seen for a while whilst in the safe comfort of knowledge that our Bamboo was just fine and being well looked after, if I could give you more than 5 stars I would!
Richard was a fantastic amd caring to our senior Lab Quinn. While Quinn himself is quite easy going, he has some quirks to which Richard adopted and handled beautifully. Most importantly, for a family crisis situation, Richard stepped in to look after Quinn on a short notice of 24 hours and was kind enough to amend it once the crisis was over. This gesture of kindness alone gives him top marks in my feedback. Our love to his Lab pup Dexter and best wishes to Richard.
Richard took great care of our boy bear and kept us up to date through the day with how Bear was. Highly recommended! We will definitely be using Richard again 😊
