Seemed knowledgeable but it’s a kennel environment and the dogs don’t free roam. He said my dog went out several times a day but she came home having to poop and had a huge poop then diarrhea. She seems to have been holding her poop. Also, I was disappointed in the communication. I had to reach out to see how she was doing and it would take almost a full day to hear back. I really wanted to like this rover after the positive reviews but we just didn’t have the same experience.
Richard takes good care of my husky! She’s gentle and loving with her. She comes back even happier than I left her

I made the wrong choice when I selected Richard to watch my dog. My dog is part of my family, and I wish I had trusted my instincts from the beginning. Our first interaction made me uncomfortable. Richard removed my dog’s regular leash and put on a slip leash without discussing it with me first. My dog wasn’t used to a slip leash and began choking. When I expressed my concern, he told me that if I wasn’t comfortable, I could find someone else. Looking back, I wish I had taken my dog and left, but I didn’t have another highly rated sitter available in the area. I convinced myself that, as a trainer, he knew what he was doing. During my dog’s stay, Richard never sent any photos or videos. I had to reach out to ask how she was doing. He told me she had played, eaten, and was resting. When I picked her up, she appeared noticeably thinner to me. I offered her treats and water, and she drank the water very quickly. She wasn’t interested in eating anything else. By the next day, she had started vomiting and was hiding under things in the yard, which is very unlike her. Since coming home, she has not been acting like herself, and I have been very concerned about her well-being. Based on my experience, I will not be using Richard again.
Richard is amazing with my puppy Zion. Not so big puppy. Would definitely recommend and continue to use his services.

Schedule
