I am a house husband so apart from nipping the shops, I am at home 95% of the time. We live in a rural area and within a 5 minute walk there is access to fields, woods and walks right by the wrekin. My whole life is pet care at the moment, I love it. I can do very last minute bookings so long as there can be a quick meet to establish all dogs are going to get on. I especially like big dogs and don't mind a bit boisterous / challenging. So long as they get on with my dogs.

We have a good sized enclosed garden with dog flap doors which lead to the garden. I am a house husband and am at home 95% of the time. I take my dogs out for 3 to 4 walks a day starting very early in the morning. Our dogs are very playful and freindly with other dogs. I have had many a relatives dog stay over whilst they are away so I am very used to looking after multiple dogs. I have raised a few litters of pups, the last litter 12/2025.

As I have dogs, there must be a meet in advance to ensure all dogs are happy which I’m confident mine will be. This can be arranged at short notice. I have a 3.5 year old German shepherd bitch. She is very calm, excellent with young children, friendly to vast majority of dogs. Also a 5 month old golden shepherd who is ultra friendly to all dogs and humans, he is playful. Both are used to meeting other dogs and having them in the house.
A typical day
We are up around 5, we go out to an ideal walking area of countryside 5 minutes up the road for around an hour. Home and food, bit of a play then they sleep. I take them out a lot into the town centres and busy areas to meet lots of people. I do amother walk around 3, feed at 4, at 7, another walk around estate and nearby park / field where there are lots of children enthusiastic to play with the dogs. I ensure the days are fun filled and lots to do and see. I can also adjust this schedule to meet your dog(s) needs. Pet care experience
I have had experience of dogs since age 8 when my parents had 2 golden retrievers. There has only been a period of around 10 years in my life where I have not lived with dogs. I have bred rottweilers and German shepherds.

Richard is such a caring and calm dog owner. We got our pup Otto from him in February and have since kept in touch and met up with all the dogs. Otto instantly felt at ease with Richard and his dogs (Lyla, Kasper and Enzo). The dogs are so well trained and incredibly calm and gentle natured. Meeting for a doggy play date or an overnight stay would be, of course, safe in Richard’s hands, but most importantly, any dog who visits will be made to feel one of the family and will be given so much love and care. We are so grateful to have met Richard and his partner, Olga. Both are very experienced dog owners and lovely people. We will forever be grateful to them for bringing us our sweet boy and for remaining invested in our boy’s upbringing and life. You truly couldn’t find better people to look after your furry friends!
Richard is absolutely amazing. He looked after my two cockapoos whilst I was on holiday. The care and love he provided was excellent. My boys settled well. Lots of walks and cuddles. We have booked Richard again for August. Can’t recommend him enough. Proper home from home. Regular updates given throughout their stay. 5 stars all day long 😀
We have a 5 year old Labrador and Richard had him whilst we went on holiday. The moment we took him we knew he was in good hands. Richard has all the time in the world for dogs and will continually play with them and stimulate them Highly recommend
