I love dogs and have been registered with sites such as Borrow My Doggy to begin with 8 years ago before turning professional. Over time I have got to know dogs with difficult behaviour traits and issues, such as being nervous or aggressive with other canines. My 6 years spent with a dog unused to socialising with other dogs and is now a joy, (now moved to Scotland) and has been one of the most rewarding results and a learning curve in training techniques. I also have 19 years experience with cats and was registered with Medivet in Twickenham for 7 years while I had two felines. I am a freelance writer by trade and actor, so able to make time to be both a companion and dog walker (often at short notice) who will invest at least 2 hours minimum walking your dog and choosing interesting safe places to go to. I have 5 regular clients in Twickenham, Richmond and St Margarets.

Richard has walked and dog sat for our Wirehaired Hungarian Vizslas, Issy (3) and Hector (2). We have found him very friendly, chatty, reliable and confident with the dogs. They are always pleased to see him, enjoy their walks with him and are quite happy to sit with him while we are out.
Minty is a very old unsocial poodle mix that we recently inherited from a relative that could no longer care for him. Richard walks him for us. Minty thinks he's human, hates other dogs and demands constant one on one attention. He's a bit of a handful, but we love him. And he loves Richard. He has grown less "needy" since Richard has been taking him out. Richard is careful not to say he's "training" Minty, but he's shown us a couple tricks on making him feel more secure and happy. We're happy to recommend Richard.
Richard has walked and sat for my energetic 8 year old Beagle for the past 2 years after meeting him at work. Dotty isn’t the most well behaved of dogs and Richard has been brilliant at looking after and entertaining her as well as getting her to recognise various commands. Schedule
I work freelance so able to be flexible and also available during most Bank holidays and able to fit a client's dog walking schedules to my daily routine.

I always take note of a dog owner's rules and routines for the their dog and never give treats that are unauthorised by the owner.
A typical day
Parks, river tow paths, commons. I am a TV/Film writer by trade and if a dog is happy to spend some time in a cafe during 'out' time then that is bonus too. I also engage in ball games and 'tug' if required.
