Hello - I’m Rick! I've lived with dogs all my life, and had a cat when I was a teenager. My girlfriend, Cristina, and I are passionate about pets and animal advocacy — we have fostered eight dogs a various ages and breeds through a local animal shelter. We've provided lots of care and training to help them prepare for their forever home and are familiar with administering medications to pets as needed. We live in a house with a fenced backyard and we are two blocks from a state park where we spend lots of time walking and enjoying nature with our pets. We’re excited to meet you and your pet(s) and provide the individualized care, comfort, and peace of mind every pet parent seeks!! For the safety of our pets and those we are caring for dogs we host, we highly prefer for the dogs to be crate trained but we can discuss if they are not. Ricardo and Cristina took such good care of our dog! They truly cared about our dog and went above and beyond to make sure that we knew she was doing well (thriving, really!) so that we could enjoy our vacation.
It was such a great relief to have had Rick and Cristina to take care of our fur babies while we went on vacation for the week we were gone. They updated us every step of the way with pictures, videos and texts putting our minds at ease to be able to enjoy our vacation. We told them that we are definitely going to use them again and have already booked another over night for Charlie. Thank you Rick and Cristina for doing such a great job with our boys!
I honestly cannot say anything better about them and how amazing they were. They sent so many photos and I don’t always have her happy face on, but I could see she was having such a good time and it warmed my heart.

Ricardo and cristina are such beautiful sweet hearted people I was getting updates about my baby consistently . They took care of my furry baby just as I would. I definitely appreciate all the love my furry baby got from them . He was well cared for.i can’t thank them enough
Ricardo and Christina are The Best! This was my first time using rover or any sitter for the matter and they were a breath of fresh air. So loving and accommodating. They sent tons of pictures and video throughout the day and my fur baby was living his best life. I will continue to use them for all of my pet sitting needs.

Schedule
My girlfriend works from home during the day and I work night shift so someone is usually always home. Our schedules are flexible and we are usually able to accommodate special requests - don't hesitate to reach out!

Safety, trust & environment
Our house has a fenced backyard and our guests are free to roam upstairs or we section off our living room area if they prefer to have their own space and couches to lounge on. We can offer crates for small to medium size dogs if your pet is more comfortable sleeping in a crate. We’re happy to accommodate special requests to ensure the comfort of your pet! For new clients, our meet and greets typically last about 15 minutes, and we can have your dog(s) explore the backyard or go on a group walk together. We are privately insured through Pet Care Insurance (PCI), in addition to the Rover Guarantee, so your pups are well covered!
Pets
A typical day
We live 2 blocks from a large state park and we spend lots of time there walking dogs! Our pets and canine clients love to explore, sniff, and see all the wildlife! We have lots of toys at home, including "puzzle" games to provide enrichment activities while having fun. On warmer days, we love to have a small kiddie pool in the backyard if your dogs enjoys the water. We have an Australian shepherd mix who is 7 years old -- he's very friendly and would love to keep your pet company! We recently adopted a 3-year old American Pit Bull Terrier - she is petite and loves to hang out with her big brother! :-)
