In my home, your pet becomes part of our family. I maintain their regular routines—meals, walks, playtime, and rest—so they feel safe and secure. I have a cozy, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to roam, lounge, or snuggle. I am attentive to each pet’s needs, whether it’s administering medications, offering extra care for seniors, or providing structure for puppies. Information Ricardo C. would like to know about your pet

It’s important for us to know your pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. Does your pet have any medical conditions, allergies, or medications? Are they crate trained, leash reactive, or nervous around other animals? I’d also love to know their favorite activities, treats, and any habits or quirks that help us make them feel at home. The more we know, the better we can care for them just like you would!

A typical day

A typical day starts with morning potty breaks and breakfast, followed by a little playtime or a relaxing walk around the neighborhood. Throughout the day, your pet will get plenty of attention, cuddles, and enrichment—whether that’s playing fetch in our backyard, tug, hide and seek or working on basic commands, or just lounging in a sunny spot. I tailor the day to your pet’s personality and energy level, making sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. In the evening, we wind down with dinner, some quiet time, and bedtime snuggles if they’re the cuddly type!

Cozy Stays for Dogs & Cats

Pet care experience

I have a spacious cozy pet friendly home with a large fenced back yard and very close proximity to Lakota park where I walk the dogs daily. I work from home and my job does not often require much of my attention, so I am available to give loads of it to the animals in my care. My girlfriend lives with me and between the two of us we have 3 lovable dogs of our own. We are formally educated in dog emotion and cognition as well as animal behaviour and welfare. We also have also taken courses in training and basic grooming. Our dogs are our family and we cherish the opportunity to host your beloved pets while you are busy or out of town, and promise to care for them as our own. We have experience with elderly dogs, puppies and special needs animals (especially those with separation anxiety) and are more than happy to tailor our care plans to suit your animal’s unique needs! If your dog does not enjoy the company of other animals, and prefers to interact with people only, we are well equipped to accommodate them. The upper and lower floors are completely separated with outdoor access from each level. They will have all of the attention they desire from humans, and need never see another of their species ;)

Ricardo took such good care of my 6 month old puppy, I was so nervous having to leave her. But he made the whole experience very easy going. I pick up a very happy but tired puppy. 😊

Ricardo is very caring and attentive to the dogs, he’s got plenty of room both indoors and outdoors for them to run around & play. I’ve got a fairly anxious dog and he had an absolute blast with Ricardo & his dogs - 10/10 would recommend!
