When I'm pet sitting in your home, your pets are my focus, but if I do need to step out for any reason, I'll be sure your pets are safe, happy and your home is secure. I'll leave your pets loved, and your home clean for when you return.
Information Rhonda W. would like to know about your pet
If your dog or cat has a strict routine, that is helpful to know ahead of time. I also want to know if your pet has any special needs ahead of time. It’s helpful to know any preferences as to special needs, feeding/sleep schedules, length of walks, activity level, car rides, dog parks, city parks, temperament with other dogs and people, and anything else you'd like me to know so that I can provide the best care possible for your dog or cat.
A typical day
I will match activities to the energy level and age of your pet. If a dog is active and healthy, I love to take walks and play outside with a ball or frisbee. Indoors I like to play hide-and-seek around corners and furniture. If possible a visit to a local park and/or a dog park with consent of the dog parents. If cuddling is an activity, I'll cuddle your pets too!

Pet care experience
I've loved and taken care of dogs and cats my whole life, mine and other people’s too! It started with my childhood German Shepherd, JoJo, who waited at the end of the street every day to run along side the school bus because she knew I was on the that big, yellow, beast. More recently, I loved and cared for my orange and white, Manx cat, Sid, named after Sid Vicious because he was a little vicious when he was a kitten. My experience taking care of other people's dogs began 22 years ago when a co-worker needed help with her Pomeranian when she went on a trip. I dog sat for her several times. When she realized she no longer could keep her Pom, she let me adopt her. For about 4 years, I raised German Shepherds, including ones imported from Germany. During that time, my partner and I also trained German Shepards for a sport called Schutzhund. It's a sport that tests a dog's tracking, obedience and protection skills. I also trained dogs of all breeds and mixed breeds obedience, cute little tricks and manners. You know what I'm taking about with manners! haha jk I love teaching dogs new tricks! I’m comfortable taking care of puppies, adults and senior dogs; anxious and timid dogs and with administering oral and topical medications and following special instructions and giving extra attention and longer walks if desired. If your dog has a strict routine, you can be at peace knowing I will follow your dog’s routine exactly how he/she is accustomed to it being. If you choose me as your dog sitter, your dog will be showered with love, time and attention. I love taking your dog for walks, playing in the backyard and cuddling on the couch, whatever your pet likes, needs, and enjoys. I am here to help!

Reviews

Rhonda was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! She sent lots of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was incredibly attentive and clearly gave our pups so much love and care. We came back to a clean home and happy, well-cared for babies. We couldn’t be more grateful for her assistance while we were away for a week! We would definitely use Rhonda again and highly recommend her! Thank you, Rhonda!

I would highly recommend Rhonda! She was incredible with our boys. Very attentive and caring. I also love the communication. She is absolutely wonderful!

Rhonda stayed at home with Sam during the holidays. She kept me informed with pictures and details, she also helped finishing an ear infection treatment. She was very flexible and accommodating. Sam had a great time with her. I really appreciate her help during this time.

Our boy Bo is a little complex, he has injectable insulin, enzymes for his food and as needed anxiety medication. Rhonda handled everything very well while we were away. She was great at communication and sent photos regularly. I would 100% recommend Rhonda and will be reaching out again for our next trip.
