Rhiannon can care for
Availability
I am employed fulltime as a hybrid employee with an 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday schedule. I have a portable work internet device which plugs into a router for connectivity, so if I can plug my device into your router, I do have limited house sitting availability during the weekdays as well as my full availability outside of my office schedule. I'm happy to check on your fur baby before and/or after work during the week; I am not only available after work or on my days off. 😸

I can come to your home and check on your cat(s) and give them whatever loving you need while you are gone. Treats? Playtime? Pets? You name it.
Information Rhiannon M. would like to know about your pet
I appreciate receiving details such as: - Will your cat try to run outside when I am entering and/or exiting? - Does your cat have a favorite toy you would like me to use for playtime? - Does your cat have any triggers regarding any actions on my part, or body parts I may pet (other than their stomach, tail, paws of course) which will incense them that I should know of? - Does your cat have any mild, known health issues I may notice which are nothing to be concerned about or report to you (congestion from allergies, recent hairball episodes, stress diarrhea, etc.)? - If your cat has any health issues they are recovering from which that, if I were to notice any symptoms specified by you, that they would need to receive veterinary care, and where your cat carrier is if so. - If your cat is skittish and may hide from me, may I wander your home to find them and ensure they are okay, or is it okay to not lay eyes on them if they are adamant in their hiding and do not emerge without me searching? - Are treats encouraged, and if so, where are they kept and what is the daily limit? - If your cat is not allowed on a particular surface or not allowed to scratch certain things, and you would like me to stop them by telling them no, snapping my fingers at them, etc. Otherwise I will assume any scratching or surface behavior is allowed 😊 Additionally, any behavior you are working on I will attempt to enforce if I witness it, so long as I am made aware and given permission. - Any cleaning materials you would or would not want me using for cat bowls, any process you'd like me to follow regarding potential leftover wet food, etc.
A typical day
I love to get your kitties jumping and running around to get some exercise in and energy out to help minimize any stress they may have from their momma/dad being gone. Wand toys are my favorite! If there are no wand toys I will toss around any toys I find for them to entertain them, but if they only want to snuggle, that is fine too! For more standoffish kitties, once the feeding and cleaning waste is done, I have no problem reading out loud to them from whatever my current read is with any time left in the visit to help them get more comfortable with my presence and voice and eventually learn I am safe to build trust.

Cat Lover Wants to Help
Cat care experience
My family adopted our cat in 2015 and I helped care for and give her love as she took her time to understand she was somewhere safe. I have lived with owners of other pets as well and helped in giving them care and love. I have now cared for several cats through Rover. I enter all cat care experiences with an open mind to what the pet parent's preferences and needs are. I prioritize the kitty/kitties first and allow them to come to me for whatever loves and pets they want until they're satisfied and move on to feeding and cleaning any waste. I understand the day-to-day can catch up to people and I take that as an opportunity to sift through every section of the litter box deeply to get even the tiniest bits that won't fall through the scoop to try and give a fresh start to parents who may have struggled to clean it recently! If you have cameras in your home, you very likely will hear me praising your kitty for digesting their food if I see a solid 😹 I always try to play with cats I am sitting or checking on, and if they demonstrate no interest after 5 or so minutes of attempt I read to them to get them comfortable with my voice and presence, just like I did with my childhood cat/cat of my teenage years. I love cats and am always looking to snap cute and silly pictures!
