As of now I am mainly accepting walks and drop ins on weekday mornings, although I do selectively accept dog sits as well. I do currently own and run a business based in downtown Halifax, and do jobs on Rover on the side, so if you decide to book a long sit, it's important we discuss how your pet does alone in the house, and set expectations for the sit. Rest assured I will always spend nights with your pet! In addition, I prefer to have multiple meets with dogs that have behavioral issues, so that proper trust is formed between all involved. It is very important for the safety of everyone involved that I am fully informed of all behavioral issues prior to our first meet.

I prefer to stay at the owners home as opposed to boarding, mostly so the dog can be comfortable in their own home while their parents are away. I keep in contact with owners and give daily updates and pictures when possible, especially when medication or strict routines are concerned.

No breed preference, I would like to know what a dogs general temperament and behavior is like on-leash and around other dogs, people, distractions etc. If possible I enjoy bringing my easy going Labrador along for overnight sits or longer walks, but as always I will discuss the possibility of that beforehand, and would prefer my and your dog meet before any plans are put in place!
A typical day
I've become somewhat familiar with the parks and trails around the city. If allowed I would love to take them to a nearby park, beach, or hiking trail! I also love positive reinforcement while on walks, especially with reactive or young dogs, and will always discuss treats and allergies before rewards.

I've lived with and have worked with dogs all my life. I grew up with two black labradors one of which was a rescue, I've walked and cared for neighborhood dogs as a side job all throughout high school, and I worked in a professional dog daycare center 'Hipster Hounds' during college and briefly at the old On Cue animal training dog daycare here in NS. After college I worked with a dog walking app called 'Wag!' and consistently recieved 5 star ratings from every owner I worked with throughout the area. I have a deep rooted love for dogs and can bond with them quickly and easily. I have the kind heart, strength, and knowledge to care for dogs of all sizes.

Rhiannon was fantastic at caring for our dog while our family was away for a week. Our dog is used to a full house of people and lots of action and so we were worried she'd be scared and lonely when we left for a week, but the dog clearly had a good time with Rhiannon. We really appreciated the photos and videos that Rhiannon sent. We could see our dog was happy and so we did not worry, which made our trip better. We also appreciated how professional and organized Rhiannon was. We had not used the Rover app before, and Rhiannon gave us a great experience so we will use it again (hopefully Rhiannon is available next time!) Thank you, Rhiannon!!
Rhiannon was awesome. Great communication, super helpful, and felt comfortable leaving the cats in her care. The only problem is that I think at least one of them loves her more than us now 😹! Will 100% have her stay with them again.
Rhiannon was absolutely wonderful with my 2 furbabies! We were away for 10 days and we knew they were in good hands. She followed their routines, sent us frequent pics and updates, and most importantly gave them lots of cuddles and playtime! Rhiannon is definitely our first choice when our girls need a babysitter again🐾🐾
