Safety, trust & environment
While I can’t host pets in my own home (lease restrictions), I’m proud to provide an exceptional experience for both you and your pet in your home. I treat every home and animal with the highest level of care and respect, ensuring a calm, clean, and comfortable environment. I follow your pet’s care plan to the letter — feeding, medication, walks, bedtime routines, and all the little details that make them feel secure. I also go above and beyond to leave your space in great condition (because let’s be honest, a little pet mess is part of the fun!). If any questions or concerns arise, I’ll always reach out before taking any steps we haven’t discussed. I believe in clear, consistent communication and earning trust through reliability, attention to detail, and genuine love for what I do. And of course — all the cuddles and playtime are included, free of charge! ⭐ Please Note: I may occasionally have my five-year-old daughter with me for overnight stays. This will always be discussed ahead of time during our meet and greet to make sure you’re completely comfortable.
Information Rhiannon H. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible so I can tailor my care to their unique needs and personality. Every animal is different, and understanding their routine and comfort zones helps me provide the safest, most positive experience. Here are a few things that are especially helpful to know ahead of time: • Behavioral tendencies or challenges — I can absolutely accommodate them; I just prefer not to be caught by surprise. • Special needs or medications — Including dosage, timing, and how they prefer to take it. • General personality — Are they shy, outgoing, protective, independent, or affectionate? • Daily routine — Feeding times, walk schedule, sleep habits, and any must-follow rituals. • Favorite activities — Toys, games, spots they love, or things that make them feel happy and secure. Any and all details are welcome! Before each booking, I’ll create a written care plan with you that we can review and agree on together, ensuring we’re completely on the same page and your pet receives consistent, loving care.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about balance — fun, structure, and attentive care. I start by checking in on how your pet’s feeling that day — their mood, energy level, and any small details that make a big difference in their comfort. Whether that means an extra-long morning walk, a slower pace for an older pup, or a little quiet time for a shy cat, I adapt to their needs in real time. Throughout the day, I follow your care plan exactly as discussed — meals, medications, potty breaks, playtime, and routines. I love mixing in enrichment activities, whether it’s puzzle toys, training reinforcement, or simply finding new sniff spots on walks. You’ll receive photo and video updates with thoughtful captions (I’ve been told I have a way with words!) so you can feel connected no matter where you are. I’m big on communication and want you to always feel in the loop. At home, I keep the space tidy and peaceful. I handle accidents or spills right away and make sure water bowls stay full, bedding stays fresh, and your pet feels safe, loved, and understood. By the end of the day, your pet will be relaxed, happy, and ready for rest — and you’ll have peace of mind knowing they were cared for with patience, respect, and genuine affection.

Pet care experience
Growing up, my family always had a house full of dogs and cats of every size, breed, and personality — and we often fostered strays, too! From an early age, I learned hands-on skills like training techniques, behavioral understanding, and basic at-home vet care. Over time, I developed a calm, intuitive approach that helps me connect with almost any animal I meet (and I’m always happy to prove it!). In middle and high school, I spent weekends volunteering at my local animal shelter, CNY SNAP in Cortland, NY. As an adult, I continued rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs until a few years ago when I welcomed my daughter. Now that she’s a bit older, I’m thrilled to be back doing what I love — caring for animals of all kinds. I understand that not every pet instantly warms up to new people, and that’s totally okay. I never force affection — instead, I read their cues, respect their boundaries, and build trust at their own pace. Whether your pet is shy, playful, senior, or special-needs, I’ll meet them where they are and give them the care and patience they deserve. Reliability and safety are my top priorities. When I’m in your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own — leaving things clean, tidy, and often better than I found them. I value your privacy and always maintain discretion about your space and schedule. I’m detail-oriented and take note of the little things that make a big difference — from following feeding routines precisely to keeping track of any changes in your pet’s behavior. I’m also big on communication: you’ll receive thoughtful, photo-filled updates so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe, and cared for. Clients have described me as calm, reliable, and attentive — someone they can truly trust. My goal is always to create a stress-free experience for both you and your pet.

Reviews

Rhiannon made my first time using Rover a pleasant experience, I went on vacations for 5 days and the person who usually help me with my dog couldn't do it. She sent me pictures and updates in every visit, she helped not only watching over my dog but also collecting the mail and cleaning the dog hair of the floor. I felt happy and safe that my dog was in good hands. For me this is better than using a pet hotel because my dog was able to be home and not in an unknown place. For this reason I will be using Rover again and I highly recommend it.

Rhiannon took good care of my kitties while we were away. One of my kitties acted out a bit, but she managed him and was able to get the job done.they were happy to see us when we returned and have settled easily back into their usual habits.

Rhiannon did a great job caring for my cat while I was out of town. She was very communicative and kept me up-to-date on how he was doing every day. I really appreciate her attention to detail and the thought she put into the daily Rover card.
Rhiannon was very sweet and really listened when I told her about my cat's likes and habits. Came home to a happy kitty.
