Service Dog Puppy Raiser
Pet care experience
I’ve been obsessed with dogs for as long as I can remember, so taking care of them has always been second nature. My biggest accomplishment was puppy raising a future service dog with Guide Dogs of America for 1.5 years. That meant weekly training classes, lots of patience and consistency, and learning everything from good leash manners to ignoring distractions (he was better at it than I am). Every dog has their own personality, and I love getting to know what makes them happiest—whether that’s long walks, playing fetch, or belly rubs!

She dedicated over a year and a half to raising and training a puppy through Guide Dogs of America, following their strict guidelines and attending regular training classes. Watching her help raise a puppy into a successful service dog showed her patience, consistency, and genuine love for animals.
